Job Summary
To partner with WRB Business (Product and Segments teams) to drive financial performance and provide business performance insights in line with Corporate Plan and Strategy to Business Head, Product & Segment Heads, Group WRB Finance and Country CFO. The role holder is expected to drive key outcomes in areas of financial performance, corporate planning, forecast, strategy execution, cost management, governance and stakeholder management
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• The role requires adequate awareness and understanding of business strategy and contribute to the strategic priorities of the Finance and ensure the strategic priorities related to the areas under this role are delivered.
Business
• Awareness and understanding of the wider business and advanced understanding of Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates in India including FP&A, Accounting framework and regulatory environment.
Processes
• Drive financial performance of the Products and Segments by providing insights into financial and non-financial KPIs, including trends, analytical reviews, comparison with Corporate Plan etc.
• Develop robust Corporate Plan and Forecasts for Product and Segments
• Act as Finance Business Partner for the assigned Products and/or Segments and help Business teams in achieving their financial targets
• Lead WRB Financial Performance & Analysis including providing consolidated view of WRB financials
• Provide financial and non-financial insights / data to various forums, including:
o Product yields, FTP and margins to various stakeholders
o Partner with Risk, Business and Treasury for annual ICAAP exercise
o ALCO projections and discussions with Business and Treasury
o Provide inputs for MBR / Business reviews
o Review C&O allocations and drive right outcomes for Business
o Actuarial Life review exercise
o Other adhoc activities like scenario analysis, impact analysis, RWA efficiency tracking, what if analysis etc.
o Provide competition / market insights for key financial metrics
• Foster a culture of data driven decision-making and continuous improvement ensuring that all stakeholders are engaged in driving financial performance
• Monitoring strategy outcomes from Finance perspective with an aim to enhance transparency, facilitate informed decision-making, and promote accountability among stakeholders
People & Talent
• Provide guidance and collaborate with teams in Chennai & Bangalore supporting India WRB Finance
Risk Management
• Ensuring compliance with Bank’s Policies and Standards and all the responsibilities of the role are discharged in accordance with Bank's Risk Management Framework (ERMF).
• Ensure compliance of regulatory norms and guidelines as relevant to the role
Governance
• Responsible for assessing the effectiveness, oversight and controls in the areas included in the key responsibilities and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas. Have an awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
Regulatory & Business Conduct
