Job Summary

The Lead, Sustainable Finance (‘SF’) Governance, Corporate & Investment Banking (‘CIB’) Coverage, Africa & the Middle East (‘AME’) will be responsible for driving the implementation of product governance and regulatory requirements for SF across the AME. They will serve as the primary point of contact for all governance-related aspects of the SF CIB Coverage business in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of product governance frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specific to SF.
  • Act as the first line of defence, managing governance processes and protocols to ensure robust oversight and control within the SF space.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Compliance, Audit, Risk, and Legal departments, to ensure alignment and adherence to governance standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators and relevant governmental bodies, to stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure the Bank's compliance with local and international standards.
  • Report to regulatory bodies in the respective AME markets, as and when required.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to the Sustainable Finance CIB Coverage teams, ensuring that all governance and regulatory requirements are met effectively.
  • Develop and implement best practices for sustainable finance governance, continuously improving processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and report on governance activities, ensuring transparency and accountability in the management of sustainable finance products and services.

  • Ability to independently drive initiatives with minimum hands-on supervision.

  • Highly skilled in creation of reports and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree.
  • Languages – Fluent in English & Arabic
