We are looking for an Associate Director, FM Middle Office Credit to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering first-class trade support, business enablement, and accurate/timely trade representation. They will be a subject matter expert in Repo and Collateral Markets, Financing products, and Credit Products. The candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of product characteristics, risk, market data, and P&L. They should also have strong analytical and process improvement skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for structured credit trading, asset back lending.
  • Own query remediation, trade life-cycling, and day-to-day processing to minimize risk.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation, partnering with Technology to deliver transformation.
  • Act as the face of Operations to Sales and Trading Desks, representing Operations functions and building a strong team profile with the Front Office.
  • Foster stakeholder engagement with a two-way flow of information, acting as a "Trusted Advisor."
  • Enable new business and solutions, partnering to deliver strategic FM initiatives.
  • Seek opportunities to improve global consistency, working closely with other regions to standardize processes.
  • Communicate with clients to solve immediate issues and shape business decisions in Operations.
  • Build a strong relationship with Hub teams to facilitate efficient communication and resolutions of issues.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and future-proof the Middle Office model through a strong understanding of current rules and anticipation of upcoming regulations.

Key Criteria

  • Experience of structured credit trading businesses, preferably asset backed lending
  • Minimum 4 years of Financial Markets experience, ideally from a top-tier bank.
  • Understanding of front-to-back processes and systems flows.

Additional Assets

  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, APEX, Murex v2.11 and v3.1.
  • Proficient in Excel (pivots, lookups, and basic VBA an advantage).
  • Additional knowledge of Flow and Structured Credit Products.

Expected annual base pay range for the role is $91,872 - $137,808. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
