Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the development and management of distribution capabilities of Loan Syndicate in the Americas as part of the implementation of the global Loan Syndicate strategy. Verticals include project finance, Commercial Real Estate, Fund Finance and Leverage Acquisition Finance.
  • Revenue – Help deliver the Regions and the overall Global TPI budget. 
  • Develop and manage distribution channels to bank and non-bank investors.
  • Actively participate in determining Syndicate & Financing Risk strategy, which aims to maximise shareholder value, identifies, and creates areas of competitive advantage and aligns to the overall strategic direction of Syndicate & Financing Risk and CIB.

  • Distribution – Develop relationships with the loan investor universe, in order to achieve primary and secondary distribution volume targets whilst maximising skim income.
  • Risk – Assist in reducing stick positions through sales and distribution across our footprints. 
  • Compliance – No breaches of compliance standards 
  • Assist senior directors to coordinate with the business lines, to review deal structures, to optimize sell down timing, to monitor the bank underwriting exposure, with market sounding, pricing to market, internal reporting, maintaining market and client databases and execute the distribution strategies of primary syndicated loans. 
  • Assist the bookrunning processes of Americas transactions whilst ensuring stakeholders are updated consistently on the primary syndication process. 
  • Assist via bookrunning other regions’ transactions whilst ensuring stakeholders are updated consistently on the primary syndication process. 
  • Assist distribution of secondary loans for the Bank alongside Portfolio Management 
  • Provide loan market intelligence to Financing Solution Team and other product partners. 
  • Adherence to and promotion of governance, compliance and risk standards. 
  • Provide pricing feedback to various teams in Global Capital Markets as and when requested. 

Processes

CAF Submissions 

  • Provide syndication support to product partners and syndication team on various transactions 

Secondary Selldown 

  • Draft T&C offer sheets according to the specifics of each transaction ensuring that they are accurate and contain the necessary marketing information as stipulated from time to time be Legal & Compliance 

Underwriting Applications 

  • Assist in providing information around Syndication strategy that is accurate and detailed for Underwriting Applications on a timely basis (i.e., resulting in minimal to no delays with respect to the transaction), according to the standard and format stipulated by Global Head, Loan Syndicate.  

Deal Ticket Submissions 

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission secondary sales are inputted into the Deal ticket system  

Client Presentations 

  • To assist originations in the preparation of client pitchbooks, deals teasers and RFP responses where necessary. 

Qualifications

•    Education - Suitable university degree
•    Training - Complete all required mandatory and development training
•    Languages - Business Level English

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 168,000 USD to 210,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
