JOB SUMMARY

As an Associate Director within the Markets Client & Sales Solutions Group (CSSG), you will be a key member of a global, high performing team delivering scalable, high quality pre trade and post trade support to Markets Sales teams worldwide. The role partners closely with Global Markets Operations (GMO), Sales, Markets COO, and senior Markets leadership to drive efficiency, strengthen client experience, and enhance Sales productivity through operational excellence and continuous improvement.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

•    Maintain a strong understanding of Global Markets, CIB clients, and evolving regulatory and infrastructure landscapes.
•    Build strong, proactive partnerships with Sales teams globally to enable a client-centric and commercially aligned support model.
•    Identify and deliver global consistency by working closely with Hubs (GBS) and regional teams to close gaps, streamline processes, and standardise best practices.
•    Foster a continuous improvement mindset; champion process optimisation and scalable solutions that improve productivity.

Business

•    Establish yourself as a trusted partner and subject matter expert for Markets Sales stakeholders.
•    Translate the Markets Sales Support vision into actionable priorities; execute against the Sales Support backlog.
•    Drive disciplined process improvement using data, feedback, and insights to reduce friction points and strengthen client outcomes.

Processes
•    Serve as the first point of contact for Sales queries, including account‑opening coordination and operational requests.
•    Independently manage Sales and Client escalations, demonstrating strong judgement, ownership, and solution‑orientation.
•    Work with Sales desks to identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve productivity, and automate repeatable processes.
•    Provide trade lifecycle support, including novations, client lifecycle reporting and other operational deliverables.
•    Partner with CSSG, Sales, COO, Operations, and Product teams to support new product enablement, process design, and implementation of new controls.
•    Coordinate and support client testing for new products, enhancements, or process changes.
•    Leverage MIS data to identify recurring issues, drive root‑cause remediation, and strengthen upstream processes.

•    Ensure Group Risk Management standards are being maintained / adhered to

Qualifications

•   5+ experience in Financial Markets Sales Support, Middle Office, or Client Services.

•   Understanding Sales Business/Market

•   Project Management and Strong Communication skills

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 100,000 USD to 140,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
