Job Description: 

Job Summary

This role is responsible for end-to-end delivery, management and oversight of the Cash Products. 

 

The role is a core part of the product management team that is accountable for ensuring that the products we offer to clients in the Americas are compliant with the Bank’s policies and procedures, regulatory framework as well as ensuring that the products and process are in line with market needs and overall strategic product directions.

E2E commercialisation of cash management products and capabilities with a focus on new expanding client base for Domestic and Network cash capabilities

 

Financial Performance: Product Profitability / Product Management

  • Develop and own the overall Business Strategy and revenue growth plans
  • Ensure the overall cash and revenue plan translates to targets for individual products / Product Owners
  • Execute regional commercialisation of global cash product developments / functionalities with global/ local teams.
  • Work with Product Owners on active product life cycle management, i.e. regular assessments of products, demonstrating that these are Fit for Purpose, Fit for Growth and Fit for Sale as per TB Product Programmes, CA, Risk, Conduct frameworks etc.
  • Understand the dynamics and innovation of cash management for all CCIB client segments with a view to assess market trends, identify new business opportunities or competitive threats across the region. Devise specific strategies to capture opportunities and grow revenues for products, solutions and client segments.

  • Capture competitor intelligence and regulatory information and use it to develop or reinforce our competitive edge.
  • Develop thought leadership for the cash business, supporting evolution towards the business models and solutions of the future.
  • React to new trends and technology and provide feedback to link those with current offering and impact to clients.
  • Support sales campaigns with training and solution materials with objective of expanding wallet across CCIB Segments.

Market & Client Development

  • Develop overall market plans for key products, solution sets, and client segments including:
  • Collaboration with Sales Leads to develop overall sales strategy for each client segment 
  • Working with relevant Product Owners to agree individual product strategies.
  • Identifying and packaging solutions for specific client needs, centralisation structures, industries (e.g. pooling centres, In-House Banks, Trading & Sales Centres, E-commerce platforms, Hedge Funds, etc.)
  • Working with Sales to translate plans to specific sales campaigns and initiatives.
  • Representing Cash Product on key corridor calls to drive campaigns and pipeline.
  • Provide solutioning support for key RFPs and complex deals, especially strategic clients and CCIB High Value Clients with aim of increasing the cash wallet penetration.
  • Contribute as senior advisor and thought leader in industry events and wherever necessary to enhance the Standard Chartered brand in the market.
  • Maintain high level of client contact, including client forums, workgroups, industry events and client meetings to ensure continuous improvement and positioning of Standard Chartered solutions.
  • Monitor competitive positioning and provide comparison / positioning analysis for use by Product / Sales / Coverage to drive new initiatives and product development.
  • Represent the regional client needs and developing needs in any global initiatives to ensure fit for purpose solutions.

Business

  • Assume ownership of the Cash P/L for specific products focused on safe growth aligned with our strategy.
  • Assume ownership of transaction pricing and overall NFI performance for the products you cover across the different client segments.

 

Processes

  • Assume ownership of the e2e first line TB USD process for select cash products. This includes first line risk management. 
  • Assume e2e first line risk ownership for select cash products, its global impacts including partners, committee forums and client interactions

People and Talent

  • Regular webinars with Sales, Coverage and FM to further strengthen product knowledge of cash capabilities across the Network
  • Drive Cash Management Training across the Network and region as required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ Years experience in Cash Product Management (payments, receivables, clearing)
  • Proven ability to commercialize products & solutions in the market. Experience working on cash management campaigns
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence directly, indirectly and virtually across the SCB network.
  • Preferred: Author/ contributor to global thought leadershi p in treasury or payments.
  • Preferred: Depth of understanding to financial regulation impacting cash management/liquidity Basel III, LCR and Intraday liquidity reporting.
  • Preferred: Cash Management Experience/Knowledge in Global Markets

Recruitment Assessments

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 132,800 USD to 199,200 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
