Job Summary
To help the LatAm Trading desk in the implementation of its Chilean Rates strategy for profitable trading at acceptable risk while developing further the market share of SCB with corporate and institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Actively participate in the market in order to provide the best possible pricing to our customers while strictly adhering to the bank and regulatory frameworks.
• Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model, appropriate to the role.
• To provide accurate and timely product pricing services to sales staff in order to meet customer needs at competitive prices, and to effectively manage the risk for customer transactions.
• To manage the transaction and/or portfolio based risk generated in trading by measuring the risk and adhering to the defined risk management rules and processes.
• To enhance SCB’s reputation in the local and international markets through personally demonstrating a high level of professionalism and developing mutually beneficial working relationships with agents, advisors, counterparties, etc.
• To share relevant market customer and counterparty intelligence with colleagues in the SCB network in order that the Group derives maximum benefit from its networking potential.
• To work with LatAm and wider Trading teams to build a scalable and sustainable Markets franchise that services both our customers in the Americas and the SCB network.
• Manage risk within their assigned limits and provide service to external and internal clients.
• To provide an accurate and timely product pricing service to sales staff in order to meet customer needs at competitive prices and to effectively manage the risk from customer transactions
• Adhering to trade limits
• Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates
• Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations. To embed Operational Risk monitoring as an integral part of the business process. Towards this, to effectively carry out the assigned role, if any, under Compliance Risk Management and Operational Risk Management Assurance. Ensure that the business meets its obligations for prevention of money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations.

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 200,000USD to 250,000USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
