Job Summary

•    Drive expansion of doc trade business within Americas Trade business
•    Own documentary trade product governance for Americas
•    Drive and analyse Doc Trade P&L performance
•    Manage and optimise Risk Management related to documentary trade products
•    Monitor market trends & client requirements, leverage insights to enhance offerings

Key Responsibilities

•    Understand the Trade Finance market in terms of size, share, structure, potential, customer segmentation, buyer behaviors, market and regulatory influences and competitor analysis within each country and region for the relevant product sets.  Participate in market research, as required.
•    Quantify and provide information to country & group management on above analysis and the impact & economic consequences of market trends, changing customer requirements and competitor offerings for the dual purpose of performance management and strategy development.  Implement actions as required.
•    Act as a knowledge expert on the product sets including financials (P&L, Balance sheet, KPIs etc) and coordinate annual budgets & ongoing forecasts.  Provide suggestions to improve profitability & performance and implement any approved recommendations.

•    Gather and evaluate key statistics to determine the current state of the business, isolate changes in the business drivers, identify opportunities and threats to the Trade Finance business.  
•    Lead in the identification and prioritization of product & channel requirements and gaps (in the country, make recommendations for new development and secure funding where necessary.
•    Manage the local implementation of new products and/or enhancements developed to meet country needs.
•    Provide support to the local sales team on new products and/or channels, including major enhancements. This includes arranging product training sessions for the sales team and ensuring that products/channels are properly supported by Operations, Technology, Legal following their introduction.

•    Ensure that product programs are approved and kept up to date locally for the relevant WB products and channels.
•    Provide support (and where required lead) in the following activities: product sales campaigns, RFP responses, complex customer implementations, advice on customer preferential pricing, channel or product migrations.  

Qualifications

•   Education - undergraduate, preferably masters
•   Languages- fluency in English
•   Experience- prerequisite 3 years + of  product management in international trade (Documentary Trade Products, Channels and Platforms) with a top tier trade bank. Exposure to trade operations fucntion is also Highly Desirable.

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 152,000USD to 190,000USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
