Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking professional to lead the Early Careers agenda for our Markets & Coverage teams in Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) globally. This role is responsible for setting the strategic direction and ensuring end-to-end execution of early careers hiring for Markets & Coverage and graduate program management—aligned to workforce planning, business needs, and future skills development.
The role combines strategic ownership, programmatic delivery, and deep stakeholder engagement across business leaders, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and People Capability teams globally.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Execute the Early Careers strategy for Markets & Coverage globally, ensuring alignment with the bank’s skills agenda, broader workforce strategy and enterprise talent goals.
• The role holder is accountable for ensuring a differentiated offering that maximizes candidate and employee experience for Markets & Coverage EC talent including but not limited to the Graduate Programme, the Internship Programme, Apprenticeship, Spring Programme etc.
• Be hands-on with execution & own E2E delivery- Shape the “what, how, and where” of EC talent hiring—from skills-based demand planning, Campus strategy, building EC pipeline, compensation review, talent attraction approach, selection & assessment, intern to grad conversion approach, Day 1 readiness, development, high-potential pipeline visibility and deployment frameworks.
• Responsible for developing and managing a sustainable, high quality and diverse early careers talent pipeline delivering the skills and competencies required by the business to best serve the client
• Stay ahead of market trends and elevate the graduate proposition through innovation and best practices.
• Embed and optimize the new RPO model to enhance productivity and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with global and regional goals, with a focus on creating streamlined ways of working that maximize ROI.
• Collaborate with global early careers team and global HR teams to align on consistent frameworks, value propositions, and governance models
Business
• Responsible for continual engagement with relevant senior stakeholders and building a deep, strategic collaboration with business leaders, Talent and People Capability functions, Lateral Recruitment, Diversity and Inclusion teams, and country HR teams to align early careers strategies
• Build a deep understanding of business priorities and align the early careers program to meet long-term business needs, focusing on creating a structured, programmatic approach that supports workforce evolution and organizational strategy.
• Actively engage with business leaders to understand early careers pipeline requirements and integrate feeder roles into the talent strategy, ensuring seamless deployment of interns and graduates into permanent roles.
• Represent Markets & Coverage in global early careers forums, sharing insights and shaping strategy.
Processes
• Define and track success metrics, including business and EC talent experience, reduced attrition, increased performance, high engagement, and accelerated career progression, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Lead end-to-end execution of EC talent hiring for Markets & Coverage
• Own delivery of structured programmatic journeys, including induction, Day 1 readiness, intern to grad conversion, assignments, development programs, and performance tracking, in partnership with People Capability, Talent team, EC team and business.
People & Talent
• Act as the primary interface across key stakeholder groups:
• Talent Acquisition and People Capability
• HR Business Partners across Markets & Coverage business functions
• Business stakeholders across Markets & Coverage
• Advise the business on how early careers talent can drive long-term workforce transformation and capability building.
• Fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture that reflects the bank’s values and vision for early careers talent. Set appropriate tone and expectations from the team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
Risk Management
• Ensure effective first line identification, management, monitoring and reporting of risks is undertaken in line with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) in a way that is consistent with the authority and responsibilities of the role
• Effective management of operational risks and compliance with all applicable internal policies, external laws and regulation
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of early careers/campus recruiting experience preferably within financial services
• Experience working with an RPO model is a plus
• Strong data analysis skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders

Recruitment Assessments
Expected annual base pay range for the role is 136,900 USD to 205,400 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
