Offering a full suite of fixed income, currencies, commodities, equities and capital markets solutions, Markets has firmly established itself as a trusted partner with extensive on-the-ground knowledge and deep relationships.

Within Markets, the Modelling & Analytics Group (‘MAG’) is accountable for design, development and delivery of real-time pricing models, risk models, and core infrastructure, enabling pricing, market data, intra-day risk reporting capability, and portfolio level analytics including reporting and capital computation.

The IR/FX Quantitative Analyst complements the MAG management team through strengthening the engagement with business and risk and control stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Develop a partnership with IR/FX Trading to drive development for modelling & analytics to establish short, medium and long-term analytics evolution and delivery of new and improved products for clients and the Bank via our electronic channels.
•    Work with risk and control stakeholders (GMV, TRM, VC) for model validation and controls implementation.
•    Work with Technology to ensure models are integrated in production systems.

Business
•    Responsible for leading the delivery of models and analytics used within Markets for FXO.

Processes
•    Ensure that all TMAC-approved models, provided they were designed and implemented by MAG, have been duly documented and tested according to MAG Development Standards.
•    Support GMV validation of models.
•    Improve and maintain IR/FX analytics.
•    Research into alternative models and numerical techniques, as well as ongoing assessment of models published in industry or academic literature.

Qualifications

•    5+ years of relevant quantitative analysis experience
•    Advanced level degree such as Masters or PhD
•    Prior experience working for a foreign banking organization highly preferred
•    Strong product knowledge in FX and Interest Rates

Recruitment Assessments

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 260,000 USD to 400,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
