Job Summary

•    To drive growth of domestic and network Transaction Banking trade business for assigned Consumer, Healthcare, Services & Industrial groups headquartered in the US. 
•    To be a trusted advisor on Trade matters working closely with coverage, sales, and product colleagues, both locally and in the network, through provision of solutions that address client needs and demonstrate value in the relationship. 
•    Drive business origination and win new trade mandates across all products for assigned portfolio. 
•    Develop client pitch content related to all aspects of trade and working capital positioning as an effective subject matter expert assigned clients. 
•    Lead all trade and working capital RFIs/ RFPs for assigned clients working in close coordination with relevant stakeholders across the bank to pitch for both local and global mandates.
•    Enhance SCB profile as a Transaction Bank provider to clients by participating in conferences as a speaker, by developing client referrals and publishing articles. 
•    Seek constant feedback from clients on competitor assessments, solutions being launched, service level and feed back to respective internal stakeholders. This feedback will then be used to improve our service to our clients. 

Key Responsibilities

•    Create long term strategic and tactical client level trade & working capital strategy for assigned clients. 
•    Client strategy to be fed into overall account plan and aligned with the coverage partners. 
•    Create global calling plan and client stakeholder mapping as part of client strategy. 
•    Coordinate with local and regional Trade Sales teams across network markets and ensure they are fully aligned with overall client strategy and monitor/ support execution. 
•    Partner with Trade Distribution as appropriate to create (i) additional capacity to deliver on client requirements and (ii) increase returns through skim on distributed assets.
•    Collaborate with Cash Trade Sales on assigned portfolio to ensure there is a cohesive push for cash/trade cross-sell.
•    Identify TB business opportunities, structuring and pitching appropriate solutions, making effective pitches, and delivering client mandates seamlessly for assigned portfolio. 
•    Develop client level RFP strategy to orchestrate the scope and requirements and appropriate calling plans to actively engage various client level throughout the RFP process on for assigned clients. 
•    Collaborate with implementation, operations, client management and service teams to ensure consistent and superior client experience.

•    Drive P&L in trade and working capital via product and market penetration in partnership with respective stakeholders. 
•    Manage and grow existing global revenue with expansion of wallet into subsidiaries of assigned clients present in our network markets. 
•    Manage and grow the Returns (RoRWA) for the assigned clients. 
•    Achieve business and financial targets with assigned clients.
•    Deliver client level financial KPIs and ensure that KPIs are aligned with TB Corporate Sales teams (e.g., pipeline targets, calling targets, new business value etc.). 
•    Drive healthy pipeline and closures through business origination activity. 
•    Responsible for driving initiatives on assigned clients together with TB product team (e.g., commercialisation of new product capability, etc). 
•    Lead RFP responses for assigned clients, ensuring successful conversions, seek feedback and corrective actions for unsuccessful bids (detailed post-mortem). 
•    Manage deal execution, maintain oversight on implementation, mandate extension, ensuring revenue realization. 
•    Manage team as inspiring, supportive and reliable people leader in alignment with banks’ values. •    Adhere to the global processes around conduct and sales disciplines including pipeline management (CRMx), call reports and deal management. 
•    Proactively manage client revenue issues related to assigned clients, including pricing, utilization, credit limits, rates, fees and ensure proper revenue attribution.
•    Lead pitches to clients and manage the arising revenues of such pitches in partnership with SSD colleagues and relationship managers.

Qualifications

•    Broad banking experience, deep knowledge of Transaction Banking products
•    Proven ability to independently identify, drive and deliver on opportunities related to Trade Finance and Working Capital.
•    Strong executive impact and track record of new to bank sales success.
•    Structuring Solutions and ability to handle documentation.
•    Strong credit understanding and experience.
•    Rich client experience and deep understanding of institution’s working capital needs, cash conversion cycle, commercial terms, supply chain and related needs, risks, and opportunities. 
•    Strong market knowledge and understand the history, current and future of trade finance, specifically of all aspects related to Consumer, Healthcare, Service and Industrial clients. 
•    Strong communication and influencing skills, proven track record to work on a collaborative cross-border team environment with multi-cultural stakeholders.
•    Experience across sales, product, and implementation of transaction banking business.

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 208,000USD to 260,000USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
