Job Summary

Assist in the management, delivery, and execution of projects prioritized by the bank, working closely with the Head of Program Management and Delivery, Americas, and the Head of Governance. Additionally, support initiatives that contribute to business execution improvements and efficiencies. These include but are not restricted to:

•    Supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) by providing essential project management and administrative services. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by maintaining project documentation, tracking project progress, and supporting project managers and teams.
•    Collaborate with regional/country business teams to support all aspects of business improvement initiatives, which includes assisting with Project Planning, Delivery, and Tracking: Assist with opportunity identification, solution building, reviewing business requirements and functional specifications, testing, change implementation, and provide any post change support to help reduce risk and escalate issues.
•    Monitor the delivery of action plans related to the initiative and ensure actions are delivered on time and within budget while adhering to organisational quality and governance standards.
•    Work with stakeholders to build, maintain and review project plans and schedules.
•    Identify enhancements to improve business processes/efficiency and/or reduce risk in line with SCB’s Group Policy and Procedure.
•    Ensure timely, accurate, informative, and complete reporting as required by the relevant governance forums.
•    Assist with the management of all related Working Groups.
•    Maintain the document library related to the projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Support
•    Assist project managers in the planning, execution, and closure of projects.
•    Maintain and update project plans, schedules, and budgets.
•    Track project milestones and deliverables.

Documentation and Reporting
•    Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, risk registers, and status reports.
•    Prepare and distribute regular project status reports to stakeholders.
•    Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Governance and Compliance
•    Ensure projects adhere to the PMO standards and methodologies.
•    Monitor compliance with project management policies and procedures.
•    Support the implementation of project governance frameworks.

Resource Management
•    Assist in the allocation and tracking of project resources.
•    Monitor resource utilization and report on capacity and availability.

Risk and Issue Management
•    Identify, document, and track project risks and issues.
•    Support project managers in developing mitigation and contingency plans.

Day-to-Day Tasks

Continuous Improvement
•    Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes and tools.
•    Provide training and support to project teams on PMO tools and methodologies.
•    Data Analysis
•    Work with the relevant systems such as Clarity, Tableau, ADO and others to extract relevant data.
•    Perform data analysis to identify areas for opportunities.

Project Governance, Process and Standards 
•    Ensure all project plans are delivered according to SCB Governance requirements, demonstrated by no issues of non-compliance, or tailoring is performed with appropriate sign off received before process implementation.
•    Champions standards and takes corrective action when they are being breached, escalating to the Americas COO, relevant governance forum or functional leadership if needed. 
•    Assists with the fact checking information.
•    Provides effective coordination and timely minuting of the various project forums.
•    Manages the configuration of project artefacts, ensuring they are up to date. 
•    Create and maintain a clear log of project related risks and issues that can be linked to structured, clearly articulated deliverables.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
•    2 – 4 years working experience in Financial Services, Banking, or Regulatory environment.
•    Previous experience in project management support and working with senior stakeholders.
•    Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with key senior stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
•    Advanced proficiency in computer skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a proven ability to manage, analyze, and transform data into actionable insights. Expertise in querying and manipulating data, including the application of complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques. Demonstrated ability to craft compelling PowerPoint presentations with clear, impactful messaging and visually engaging designs.•    PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Ability to connect with people in different parts of the world and elicit participation and collaboration through influence.

Recruitment Assessments

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 105,400 USD to 158,090 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
