Title: Head, FCC Risk Assessment, Analysis and Reporting, Americas

Job Summary
• The purpose of this role is to design, implement and deliver the FCC Risk Assessment framework, and to implement the SC Global Financial Crimes Compliances Risk Assessment for the Americas region. This framework consists of the following areas:
• A methodology to create the risk assessments, including quantitative risk-based calculations.
• The governance and processes required to ensure that the US Risk Assessment framework delivers to the Global Risk Assessment framework, where possible, and a methodology that aligns to industry/regulatory expectations.
• The analysis and summary reporting resulting from the methodology; and
• The action planning/remediation and process monitoring/reporting resulting from the analysis and summary report.
• The Risk Assessment framework must be fully embedded within the Conduct, Financial Crime, and Compliance Risk (‘CFCR’) function and assist management to oversee and improve the control environment. The US Risk Assessment framework must meet all relevant regulatory and industry expectations and drive action throughout the US financial crime function. As such, the US Risk Assessment framework will supplement or supersede SC Global Financial Crime Risk Assessment.
• This role is also responsible for continuous assessment of issues raised within the FCC Principal Risk Type that may introduce risk.
Strategy
• Creation of annual US BSA/AML and Sanctions Risk Assessment process in support of the Global Risk Assessment.
• Support Group led risk assessments across the Americas, where applicable.
• Development of the SC US methodology to create the risk assessments which also include quantitative risk-based calculations.
Business
• Drive the delivery of the action planning and remediation work resulting from regulatory requests.
• Maintain awareness of significant changes impacting the business, both internally and externally, and ensure appropriate actions to mitigate risk.
• The governance and processes required to ensure that the US Risk Assessment framework delivers a methodology to address industry/regulatory expectation.
• The analysis and summary reporting resulting from the methodology.
• The action planning/remediation and progress monitoring/reporting resulting from the analysis and summary report.
Key Responsibilities
Processes
• Operation and delivery of the assessment of FCC risk (AML, Sanctions, ABC, etc.) for the Americas in accordance with the SC FCC Global Risk Assessment Methodology.
• Responsible for the residual risk assessment of all entities in scope and lineage of Residual Risks to specific control weaknesses.
• Partner with colleagues across the bank to help drive a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk identification and assessment.
• Create executive level financial crime risk drive analytics and metrics that provide the business visibility of the control environment and identifies emerging risks.
People & Talent
• Lead and develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices.
• Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects SCB core values.
Risk Management
• Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility.
• Continuously review data associated with issues to highlight key themes and insights related to existing or emerging FCC risks.
• Work closely with the data and MI teams to assess metrics to ensure the appropriate data is captured to identify risks.
• Liaise with stakeholders to evaluate issue areas to retrieve underlying context to form a view of potential risks.
• Draft commentary associated with metrics related to the compliance principal risk type that will be included in various forums and senior-level committees, as well as leveraged for MLRO reporting.
Governance
• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the firm operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectation relevant to the role.
• Deliver ‘effective governance’, challenge fellow executives effectively and work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
Skills and Experience
- Execute Compliance Governance, Frameworks and Models
- Knowledge of risk assessment compliance requirements and expectations
- Knowledge of BSA/AML and Sanctions, ABC compliance requirements in Banking and an understanding of variation of such laws and regulations across the various jurisdictions
- Experience in the US financial crime risk assessment as well as cross border financial risk and control

Recruitment Assessments
Expected annual base pay range for the role is 225,000 USD to 350,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location.
