Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Assistant Relationship Banker (ARB) to support our Senior Bankers in managing a portfolio of Italian and French corporate clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a career in corporate banking, with a focus on client relationship management, financial analysis, and business origination. You will play a key role in research, client support, and deal execution, helping to grow our Italian franchise while learning from our established presence in France.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Business Support

  • Partner with Senior Bankers to support business origination, including client research, pitch book preparation, and industry analysis.
  • Assist in client meeting preparation, briefing notes, and coordination of presentations.
  • Support the execution of new transactions, including documentation, deal structuring, and revenue tracking.
  • Work closely with Product Partners and Client Management teams to ensure seamless deal execution.

Portfolio & Risk Management

  • Proactively monitor client portfolios, ensuring accurate revenue and return tracking.
  • Identify potential credit risks and collaborate with Credit Analysts to assess client financial health.
  • Support the credit review process by gathering necessary client information.

Process & Governance

  • Maintain account plans, client strategy documents, and deal pipelines.
  • Ensure all client interactions and transactions adhere to regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to maximize cross-sell opportunities across different banking products.

Learning & Development

  • Gain exposure to corporate banking operations by supporting large French corporate clients, while building expertise in the Italian market.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop strong technical and client management skills.

Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.

Skills and Qualifications

Skills & Expertise

  • Fluency in Italian and French (both written and spoken) is essential.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with experience in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent research, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of corporate banking products, risk management, and financial markets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate banking, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Exposure to Italian corporate markets, with a willingness to gain expertise in the French market.
