Title: Assistant Relationship Manager, Non-Banking Financial Institutions

Job summary
Due to the growth of our Coverage business, we are currently looking for an Assistant Relationship Manager to join our Relationship Management team for Financial Institutions at Standard Chartered Bank branch in Paris.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the team with leading the new transactions and proactive management of portfolio including client and product partner engagement. You will primarily focus on the non-banking financial institution (NBFI) clients across France, BeLux and Southern Europe region.
Key responsibilities
• Supporting Senior Bankers in leading and originating sales and marketing for products and solutions offered by Standard Chartered Bank
• Developing your own client relationships with existing and new client base
• Taking responsibility for independently driving certain origination initiatives within client relationships
• Engaging with Standard Chartered global network to originate new opportunities
• Providing support on new business transactions i.e. deal execution support, document negotiation, coordination with Product Sales and Client Management team
• Driving product and geography cross-sell with clients
• Undertaking client research including client analysis, monitoring of origination activities; client meeting documentation; briefing notes
• Supporting on sales discipline requirements i.e. Account Planning process; pipeline maintenance; client call reports; preparation of deal approval submissions
Skills and experience
• Bachelor degree in Banking, Economics, Finance or Accounting preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant banking experience, ideally working with NBFI clients
• Understanding of the business/market landscape in France and Continental Europe would be beneficial
• Existing client relationships seen as an advantage
• Fluency in English and French is a must, additional language skills (e.g. Italian, Spanish) would be seen as an advantage
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Strong credit skills and experience in credit related work
