Job Summary
• Responsible for driving growth of the European MTN franchise by liaising with sales, investors and issuers in the region to originate transactions
• Execution of any MTNs for European time-zone deals
• Primary coverage responsibility for European and Americas MTN issuers, with special focus on SSA issuers
• Support the public deal coverage responsibilities of the MTN desk including execution of SSA deals as primary syndicate
Strategy
• Origination, structuring and marketing of Fixed Income private placements in conjunction with global CM, derivatives, structuring and sales.
• Responsible for leading the team and managing the MTN and Private Placement business globally in the context of the Group’s business strategy and model
• Contribute directly to the Capital Markets client revenue budget, credit sales revenue budget and to the external image via league tables and awards
• Contribute to customer relationships and confirming SCB as the Right Partner.
• Enhance dialogue with global sales in order to identify pools of investor liquidity for CM issuer clients in private placement format.
• Ensure optimal communication and effective co-ordination with global CM product team to identify new issuer candidates to meet investment needs, and to maximise business opportunities and strategic prints for established target MTN issuers.

• Coordinate within the Financing Risk Team in terms of bridge to bonds and comprehensive financing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business
• Ensure global co-operation and information-sharing within the MTN team to facilitate cross-border flows and to identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Ensure accurate and seamless execution of all related swap transactions and related logistics in conjunction with structuring (limits, CSA status, XVA/RWA calcs, termsheets)
• Maintain relationships with international borrowers active in MTN markets (directly and via CM team)
• Build relationships with key private placement investors via client visits in conjunction with sales
• Contribute towards global MTN/PP database of issuer info, funding levels, issuance and swap parameters, and documentation for use by the global team
• Provide effective communication of flows, market colour and intelligence to sales, CM and management.
• Coordinate the product process with CM, Sales, Legal, NIG, Compliance, Finance and Product Control
• Stay abreast of MTN market activity and market-wide developments, and maintain an awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates
