Title: Director - Transaction Banking - Financial Institutions

Job Summary
We’re looking for a results-driven Transaction Banking Sales professional to lead the commercialisation of Cash, Trade, and PrismFX solutions across our Financial Institutions (FI) client segment in Southern Europe.
In this role, you’ll drive revenue growth by originating new business, expanding existing relationships, and leveraging the strength of our international network. You’ll work closely with product, coverage, and risk teams to deliver client-centric solutions and execute our strategic sales plan for the region.
This role involves managing a diverse FI portfolio — spanning origination, inbound, and franchise clients — with accountability for delivering against short, medium, and long-term revenue targets.
You’ll shape and execute client strategies, lead pricing reviews, drive trade utilisation, and promote sustainable growth in line with our global Transaction Banking priorities. You will also oversee the successful implementation of deals, ensure smooth onboarding, lead RFP processes, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure excellence in service delivery and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• To execute and manage the strategy for selling solutions across all Transaction Banking products to a portfolio of FI clients (origination/inbound) South Europe based.
Business
• Working in conjunction with LM and coverage team, to agree & deliver revenue and activity targets for FI client portfolio based on client account planning, and actively call on assigned client base to ensure client relationship strategies are implemented.
• To maintain ongoing contact with FI Customers to ensure targeted level of return on Trade Finance
• To manage transfer of best practices between markets, in order to leverage Transaction Banking capabilities with the client portfolio.
• Ensure financial objectives are met in line with TB revenue growth targets and aspirations.
• To ensure non-financial metrics are delivered in line with sales objectives, i.e., market share; client wallet share in Cash and Trade for key foreign currencies.
• Responsible for maintaining sustainable revenue growth in line with the Bank business performance strategy in short, medium and longer terms.
• Revenue and volume activity monitoring for Cash, Trade and PrismFX from FI clients ensuring positive trend performance per client and at portfolio level.
• Responsibility for portfolio sales growth plan implementation and execution for directly covered relationships.
• Responsible for driving trade utilisation (Assets & Contingents) levels by promoting and leveraging SCB footprint capabilities.
• Manage other businesses under FI segment if required and assigned by Line Manager.
Processes
• To manage the Transaction Banking relationship across all products for FI portfolio
• To lead and manage Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) client base, working with sales, product management and operations to deliver optimal solution (s) to customer.
• Lead regular pricing reviews for revenue maximization, including impact of waivers or non-standard pricing. To ensure accurate implementation of pricing at product and book center level.
• Monitoring client onboarding (CDD) and other FCC related functions and requirements.
• To lead and supervise Account Opening process, pricing implementation and activation of service to clients.
• To lead and execute regular business reviews plan for clients by Services Managers (TBSM) for validation of service/product levels and client feedback as part of TBSM role and responsibilities.
• Ensure the business meets its obligation vis-à-vis prevention of Money Laundering under the Group ALM policy and standards, and under the local laws and regulations.
• Ensure clients’ transactional requests and complaints are serviced promptly and effectively by the service team.
• To keep abreast of customers’ needs, trends, and product/market intelligence for new product developments/ enhancements, strengthening SCB’s competitive position in this field.
• Conduct Market events to share best practices, standards and raise SCB visibility.
• Ensure full adherence to Sales governance, Deal Pipeline and Cash/Trade/ PrismFX pricing policy and guidelines.
• Deliver business outcome backed by higher standards of sales discipline with timely and accurate execution and management of Call Reports and Deal Pipeline review.
• To ensure smooth deal implementation with adherence to highest levels of service quality.

Qualifications
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a minimum of 5 years of relevant Transaction Banking sales experience, ideally in a regional or international environment.
A university degree is required.
Familiarity with cross-border payments for financial institutions or PayTechs is highly advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in the payments ecosystem, infrastructure, and trends, particularly around cross-border flows, and a strong understanding of Cash and Trade products.
You will bring proven skills in strategic sales planning, client relationship management, cross-selling, and delivering compelling sales proposals and presentations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, combined with excellent communication and influencing skills, are essential for success in this cross-border, multi-cultural team environment.
