Title: FM Infrastructure Services - Senior Technical Analyst

Job Description
Are you a highly skilled IT professional with experience managing trading floor systems in a wholesale banking environment? We’re looking for a Senior Technical Analyst to take charge of the London dealing room IT operations. This role includes end-to-end ownership of market data services, trading voice systems, transactional systems, high-end FM workstations, and more. You’ll be the go-to for trade floor support, ensuring real-time issue resolution for Financial Market traders, potentially with no handoffs to other teams. From managing mission-critical applications to overseeing technical infrastructure, you’ll play a key role in keeping trading operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- 1st & 2nd Line Technical Support: Provide end-to-end support for trading products and infrastructure, including trader workstations, dealer telephony, and market data applications.
- Incident Management: Quickly respond to and resolve issues, log incidents, and ensure timely communication with stakeholders. Own problem and change management through Service Now.
- Trading Floor Infrastructure: Manage trading voice systems, high-end workstations, and transactional systems (FXT, EBS, Bloomberg). Ensure seamless operation and timely technical updates.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with on-site support engineers and vendors to maintain a secure, stable, and resilient trading environment.
- Project Management: Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and disaster recovery plans. Ensure that all IT services comply with Group standards and audit requirements.
- Risk Management: Oversee security patches and compliance with local and global regulations, ensuring IT installations adhere to health, safety, and security standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead change and transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency. Drive adoption of new tools and technologies to enhance performance.
Skills and Qualifications
Skills
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of trading systems, IT infrastructure, networking, and market information systems, including client-server technologies.
- Incident Resolution: Proven experience in managing real-time technical incidents on trading floors, with the ability to prioritize and solve issues under pressure.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage and negotiate with vendors, ensuring the best outcomes for the business.
- Project Leadership: Experience in managing complex projects, implementing technical solutions, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Automation & Streamlining: A passion for driving process improvements and adopting new technologies to boost operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience: Extensive experience in IT support, operations, and project management in a wholesale banking environment, including trading room support.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of wholesale banking services (FX, MM, FI, Commodities, Equity Derivatives) and regulatory & broker trading applications.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in client-server technologies, networking, e-business trading tools, and IT security policies.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead vendors, challenge internal processes, and drive change and efficiency across teams.
