Job Summary
Join Standard Chartered Bank AG as a Financial Markets Intern and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced global banking environment. Key Responsibilities
- Support the origination and execution-related activities of the Financial Markets team members.
- Conduct client analysis and prepare key statistics and reports.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives, presentations, and pitch materials.
- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Support wider Markets team activities and learn from experienced professionals.
- Ensure adherence to SCB AG and Group governance, compliance, and risk management standards.
- Participate in client-related work, supporting the execution of trades in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Follow Financial Markets processes to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and risk appetite
- Engage with colleagues across CCIB and other business divisions to build a strong professional network.
- Understand and support the management of credit, operational, market, and reputational risks.
- Collaborate effectively to ensure robust outcomes in risk, conduct, and compliance matters.
- Take part in induction sessions to understand the Bank’s structure, culture, and global reach.
- Engage in on-the-job learning and general training sessions to deepen your knowledge of financial markets.
- Participate in the speaker series featuring senior and executive management.
- Contribute to community service initiatives and represent the Bank in local engagements.
Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of Market and Liquidity Risk principles.
- Understanding of Credit Derivatives and related financial products.
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
- High attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ethical standards, compliance, and responsible conduct.
Qualifications
Education Studies in the field of Financial Markets, Economics, etc.
Languages English is mandatory
