Job Summary

We are looking for an Intern to join our Client Coverage team of Standard Chartered Bank AG team in Paris

In this role you will support the Client Coverage team members - Assistant Relationship Managers and Bankers with their activities related to growing business and developing relationships in France and Southern Europe (corporate clients in Benelux, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece).

We are looking for the candidates who are enrolled in their studies at the French university and are available to start their 6-month internship from July 2025.

Key Responsibilities

You will support the Client Coverage team in the following tasks:
•    Financial analysis of covered clients
•    Preparing credit papers to present various financing opportunities to local committees and calculation of deals’ profitability
•    Assisting in timely review of Know Your Customer documents to ensure the appropriate risk is calculated and measured per relationship
•    Preparing and coordinating pitches and marketing presentations for Corporate clients on various subjects
•    Preparing client notes ahead of meetings to the bankers
•    Punctual sector-based analysis and weekly review of sector news
•    Supporting the development of client relationships in relation with Standard Chartered network (mainly in Asia, Africa & Middle East and US)
•    Interacting with product teams based in Paris, Frankfurt, London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore (Debt Capital Market, Global Markets, Project Finance, Loan Syndication, Transaction Banking et ceatera)
•    Assisting senior bankers with intelligence & research in the normal course of business
•    Supporting the preparation of revenue reports and internal presentations
 

Skills and Experience

•    Student BAC+4/5 in finance, economics, business or engineering from a business school or university with an excellent academic track record - student status is mandatory
•    Previous internship experience gained in the area of banking or financial consulting would be beneficial
•    Financial background, analytical capabilities
•    Sound knowledge of MS office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point)
•    Dynamic, quick-thinking and a good eye for detail
•    Fluency in English is mandatory. Fluency in French and any other language spoken in the region (Spanish and/or Italian) would be highly beneficial
