Job Description: 

Job Summary

Drive trade sales growth for Business Banking (BB), leveraging market insights and industry trends to effectively target and engage prospective clients. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to tailor solutions that address client needs, ensuring seamless and value-added experience for Business Banking clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • To execute and deliver towards the growth of trade business for SME Banking in line with Group’s strategies
  • Drive trade business through collaboration with Transaction Banking product and Business Banking segment to acquire new-to-bank trade customers and drive trade utilisation
  • Provide advisory, documentation requirement to all BB existing-to-bank and new-to-bank trade customers on all trade finance matters
  • Work with respective segments to wallet size and design tactical campaigns to cross sell to trade customers Eg CBN, CASA, FX, etc
  • Work with Relationship Managers to develop mid and long term strategies to grow trade outstanding for existing customers
  • Drive digital usage of trade products

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant undergraduate degree, ideally with minimum of 8 years relevant experience in Banking or Financial Services industry.
  • Good command in English.
  • Strong understanding of various trade finance products, including Letters of Credit, Guarantees, LC Discounting, Invoice Financing & etc
  • Strong Knowledge of international trade practices, UCP, URC and other trade relevant rules.
  • Good understanding of Companies Act and basic understanding of Cash Management and Trade Working Capital (optional).
  • Able to work under broad direction but is a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate strong sense of initiative with the ability to work independently and as a team player; has technical responsibility and accountability for work performed and decisions taken.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales target and building strong client relationships
  • Possess effective interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence, and collaboration skills.
  • Results-oriented, target driven and able to work under stress.’
