Job Summary

We are a global team of "Members" (excluding individual ventures), including dedicated colleagues from the Group's support functions, based in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, and the United Arab Emirates

Role Overview:
•    Source commercial data from venture portfolios and build data engineering pipelines to a central repository.

•    Consult with portfolio management leadership to understand desired metrics and insights across the portfolio.

•    Create and maintain tailored dashboards and analytics to support decision-making.

•    Advise individual venture leaders on how to interpret and leverage key metrics for their business success (this includes, but is not limited to, marketing and sales analysis from a data driven perspective for both SCV’s use and the ventures themselves).

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Primary: to create an internal data wealth that can be used inside SC Ventures for gold-standard portfolio management as well as investment decisions in the context of a robust understanding of industries, markets, portfolio performance, specific venture Objective and Key Results (ORKs) as well as venture viability.
•    Secondary: to make the data available to internal teams, such as marketing, sales (ORION), legal, compliance, operations, et al.

Business
Key Experience
•    Experience in startup or venture environments.
•    Prior experience in data analytics consulting.
•    Exposure to international or multi-venture portfolios.
•    Advanced Degree in Data Science or Analytics.

Processes
•    Gather commercial data from diverse ventures.
•    Build scalable data pipelines to central repositories.
•    Collaborate with portfolio management teams to identify key metrics and reporting needs.
•    Develop insightful dashboards and reports aligned with strategic goals.
•    Provide analytics consulting to venture leaders, educating them on data-driven decision-making. 
•    Work with the heads of Marketing and Sales (ORION) and others at SCVentures as deemed necessary and prudent so as to give access and leverage the data as relevant and prudent.

•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Key stakeholders
•    Internal: Shareholders, Operating Members, Portfolio Management team members, Investment Committee members, marketing, and sales (ORION).
•    External: Portfolio Venture leads and teams

Other Responsibilities
•    Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in the business and SC Ventures; 
•    Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.

•    Strong experience in data engineering and analytics.
•    Ability to consult with senior leadership and understand business needs.
•    Proficiency in dashboard creation (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
•    Strong communication and data storytelling skills.
