Job Summary

As a Universal Banker with Standard Chartered in Ho Chi Minh City, you will serve as a fundamental touchpoint between the bank and its valued clients, responsible for executing a variety of financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and fund transfers with accuracy and efficiency. Your role extends beyond transactional duties; you will play an essential part in resolving customer inquiries and delivering comprehensive banking services with utmost professionalism and care.

In this dynamic position, you will support our sales teams by proactively identifying referral opportunities and ensuring that operational processes run seamlessly to enhance client satisfaction. Your commitment to compliance and security protocols will be crucial in mitigating risks and securing the integrity of all financial operations. This role offers the chance to engage with diverse clients daily and contribute meaningfully to their financial wellbeing, while gaining a deep understanding of banking operations.

Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, enabling efficient documentation and data analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adept at client engagement, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Experience in handling multi-product banking knowledge, with the ability to explain and guide clients through diverse product offerings.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage transactional operations meticulously, ensuring accuracy in all financial dealings.
  • Familiarity with banking compliance standards and operational risk management to uphold the highest levels of security.
  • Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining service quality and timely delivery.
  • Problem-solving aptitude, with the capacity to handle objections constructively and provide clear resolutions.

  • Strong client-handling soft skills, including empathy, patience, and active listening, to foster trust and satisfaction.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills to effectively collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Competency in objection handling, enabling positive interactions and relationship building even in challenging scenarios.
  • Ability to provide client training on digital banking solutions, encouraging adoption and enhancing user experience.
  • Highly organised approach towards daily tasks and long-term projects, ensuring efficient workflow and goal achievement.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking processes and procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Understanding of bank operation risks and processes, with awareness of necessary controls to safeguard transactions.
  • In-depth knowledge of enhanced multi-product Priority banking offerings, supporting tailored financial solutions for clients.
