About HAL
“HAL is a B2B domestic and cross border marketplace being built for SMEs in the UAE. Incubated by SC Ventures, the ventures arm of Standard Chartered Bank, the platform will enable digital commerce and access to financial & value-added services. HAL ‘s vision is to act as a super glue connecting multiple partners & ecosystems by bringing together buyers, sellers, financial institutions, logistics partners under one roof. We are building this as an agentic AI native stack along with several strategic partners in the UAE who bring different capabilities into the platform.
SMEs are the backbone of the UAE economy and vital for economic growth and diversification. We want to help SMEs grow profitably, safely and with ease. Hal is being built for scale with the latest technologies and with a vision to truly become the one stop shop for SMEs. We are looking to launch later in the year.”
Key Responsibilities
About The Role
We are looking for a product & strategy analyst that can help us build out the financial services vertical with the aspiration to be a leader in SME embedded finance solutions.
This role sits at the intersection of product, strategy and data, supporting the design, validation and scaling of the financial services products. The product analyst will support the team with data driven insights, analytical frameworks and strategic decisions across the full product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
• Contribute to shaping the product vision and strategic direction by supporting leadership with insight-driven analysis. Identify and assess market opportunities through competitive landscape reviews, market studies, bringing clear perspectives on trends, gaps, and emerging consumer needs.
• Translate business objectives into strategic options and decision frameworks that highlight user value, experience implications, and business impact.
• Own product outcomes and drive timely delivery of features that meet quality standards and business objectives. Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities and inform product direction.
• Synthesize insights from market analysis, user research, and experience evaluations into clear, compelling narratives for leadership consumption.
• Support informed decision-making by framing complex topics clearly, managing ambiguity, and ensuring stakeholder alignment around user-centric and business-driven outcomes.
• Work with marketing and sales to develop go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and launch plans.
• Own product outcomes and drive timely delivery of features that meet quality standards and business objectives. Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities and inform product direction.
Strategy
• Support head of financial services to drive product and strategy through data backed insights, opportunity sizing and competitive analysis
• Own market assessments and competitive analysis to guide decision making
• Act as a thought partner to the product teams on roadmap sequencing and prioritization
• Work with strategic partner’s product teams to create product roadmap
Business
• Conduct financial analysis to aid in product validation
• Translate business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendations
Processes
• Define and own product KPIs, ensuring consistent tracking and reporting
• Build and maintain dashboards to monitor performance, growth and efficiency
• Contribute to a strong data driven culture by sharing insights, best practices and frameworks
• Critically think to drive optimal business outcomes
People & Talent
• Work closely with global cross functional teams to ensure robust data infrastructure, monitoring and event instrumentation to support reliable product analytics and decision making
Risk Management
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency and flagging any data gaps, errors or limitations that could impact product or commercial decisions
Governance
• Operate in line with SC ventures governance standards
• Ensure compliance with internal data, reporting and documentation requirements

Qualifications
Education Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Languages English, Arabic (is a plus)
• 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting or product development or fintech
• Hands-on experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder and ambiguous environments, with the ability to drive clarity through data and structured analysis
• Proven ability to develop and execute product strategy and roadmaps that align with business objectives and deliver measurable results
• Exposure to product development lifecycle and execution of complex strategies
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate complex product concepts to diverse audiences
• Strategic thinking combined with tactical execution capabilities, balancing long-term vision with short-term priorities
• Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
