Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Product Owner, Credit Risk to manage retail credit risk squad and complete the deliveries for retail credit risk systems.

Key Responsibilities

Provide insights into product, technology and market trends, preempting imminent disruptions and identifying opportunities for acceleration.
Drive the strategic direction of the Credit Risk Squad to optimize business outcomes through risk-informed decision-making in collaboration with Product stakeholders. Leverage technology-enabled solutions to minimize bank losses, fostering close collaboration with Risk, Collections, and Fraud teams to deliver impactful results.
  • Conduct ongoing research on retail lending and credit risk, emerging trends, and new features. Identify potential updates or changes within the sector and proactively inform relevant teams about these developments, along with potential applications and usage scenarios in our services.
  • Gather, track and manage user comments, bank needs, concept testing, analytics tools.
  • Facilitate the build and testing of operational processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
  • Escalate credit risk issues timely and ensure appropriate mitigations are devised and implemented, engaging all key stakeholders.
  • Working closely with Risk teams and Lending squads to plan the product features backlog, prioritize, evaluate and deliver the initiatives. Ensure all teams has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on.
  • Design, monitor and report on product and risk KPIs, measure effectiveness of features and sharing results and insights within the organization.
  • To automate, enhance and support the on-going process of credit risk analytics and MI reporting.

Skills and Experience

  • University graduate, preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline
  • Solid experience and knowledge in product or project management in retail credit risk
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese
  • Familiar with TransUnion and Credit Decision Systems, experience with FICO Decision Modeller is a plus
  • Understanding of credit risk methodologies, with demonstrated experience of related modelling adoption and deployments
  • Proficiency in assessing and comprehending the inherent credit risk associated with unsecured lending and credit card portfolios
  • Experience in data warehousing and data management, knowledge on SQL and Tableau is a must and skills in Python is a plus
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage resources and schedules to meet aggressive deadlines and influence through persuasive written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • An ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Attention to details
