Job Summary
The role of Investor Relations & Client Content in the Middle East will drive impact in three core areas: Brand and Marketing, Client Engagement, Venture Marketing
Strategy
Brand and marketing
Deepen SCV’s strategic positioning across the region, deeper collaboration with the Bank, extend thought leadership into KSA, Africa through focused brand partnerships, digital assets, and ecosystem engagement.
• Brand building: sustain “always on” Middle East (ME) presence, strengthen brand partnerships and target events in new markets to drive credibility.
• Public Relations (PR) and profiling: drive thought leadership and identify win-win partnerships that can amplify SC Ventures.
• Lead on roadshows, events and drive collaboration between Bank and SC Ventures
• Digital assets: consolidate and lead the digital assets narrative from SC Ventures
• Identify cross portfolio collaboration opportunities between platform and ventures
• Ownership for all ME PR & Comms activation – including articles, interviews, newsletter etc – in alignment with central SCV Brand and Marcomms team
• Support updates for global SCV events and content calendar
• Ownership for all ME Events activation
Client engagement
Convert visibility into commercial outcomes. Target SC bank clients and external prominent players across industries
• Support pitches for strategic proposals in the Middle East in collaboration with Middle East lead & global client engagement team.
• Bring creation circle to the Middle East - explore co-creation events with key clients, tackle challenges, secure joint ventures
• Pipeline management – disciplined and structured follow up, relationship nurturing.
Key Responsibilities
Ventures marketing
Provide support for ventures and their marketing strategy
• New ventures – go to market strategy, first 12 months marketing support until venture can afford in-house capacity and resources
• Existing ventures – conduct deep dives with existing me ventures, identify gaps, optimize messaging/sales and potential synergies with SC Ventures
• Build the marketing strategy and initiatives for Ventures, from incubation phase through to commercialization, with consulting and providing guidance on appropriate marketing plans for each stage (e.g., agency recommendations, reviewing brand strategy etc.)
Business
• Partnership with Venture Leads/Founders in building comprehensive marketing plans – for both launch and ongoing marketing; inclusive of brand building, campaign execution and customer acquisition/sales plans
• Aligning with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring Ventures brand strategy and name development align with the group’s corporate & brand & marketing strategy
Processes
• Manages Ventures Marketing, ensuring regular updates are provided to key SCV teams on progress related to venture marketing plans, highlighting early any risks and opportunities
People & Talent
• Key consult to Ventures in building their marketing structure and teams, working with Venture Leads on defining talents required in their marketing teams, to build and recruit high performing marketing talents for them.
• Reinforce a culture of continuous learning and development within the Marcomm workstream
• Support an open environment to stimulate creativity and develop innovative solution to support SC Venture’s aspiration.
• Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.
• Maintain an appropriate tone in collaboration with SC Ventures and group partners.
Risk Management
• Continuously evaluate agency roster to ensure that right agencies are onboarded to partner ventures while accommodating within their budget requirements
Governance
• Ensure compliance with all SCB and venture governance frameworks where there are direct touch points with them or any subsequent downstream influence from the venture team.
• Manage the team within budgetary constraints, seeking operational efficiencies
