Job Summary

 

Join Standard Chartered’s Markets Technology team as a SABRE Programme Delivery Risk Manager, a key member supporting the development of the bank’s strategic cross-asset pricing and risk management platform. You’ll oversee programme delivery risks for a USD 40M annual portfolio, ensuring accurate tracking, timely communication, and full compliance with governance standards. Working closely with the Programme Manager, Project Managers, Operational Risk, and Internal Audit teams, you’ll help ensure every key milestone and go-live meets the bank’s rigorous standards and is properly documented in Clarity systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional passionate about financial markets, technology, and operational excellence. Given the programme’s strong links to financial markets and risk analytics, the ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in Trading, Market Risk, or Financial Mathematics to effectively support delivery oversight across the bank’s cross-asset pricing and risk platforms.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Gathering, analysing, and assessing feasibility of User requirements
  • Provide Risk (Market Risk, Pricing, Valuation, Finance) subject matter expertise to negotiate and build strategic solutions
  • Participating actively and influencing Architecture review and Solution design for data / system flow
  • Managing the development and delivery timelines across several components
  • Identifying and Managing project Risk, Issues, Dependencies and Agreements
  • Leading active dialogue with key stakeholders including Business Units, Development Team, Internal Control and Audit Team
  • Preparing material for Meetings / chairing meetings and driving delivery Agenda for achieving project milestones and managing Project budget/cost/schedule
  • Mentor junior Team members

Skills & Experience

 

  • Minimum 8-year experience in Financial Markets, either within a financial institution or a Risk management Software company, in end user facing role(s) as Business Analyst / Project Manager
  • Solid understanding of Trading and Risk management and Technology SDLC practices as BA/SME and Delivery Manager
  • Strong academic foundation in mathematics / financial mathematics or statistics. CFA and FRM preferred. Knowledge of options & derivatives risk and Pricing in at least one asset class is required.
  • Adaptive to changing situations and collaborating with global teams in a diverse multi-cultural environment.
  • Passionate for solving challenging problems, hands-on, customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent English is a must
  • SQL/Python/Java exposure is good to have.
