TITLE: Assistant Relationship Manager
LOCATION: San Francisco, CA
DUTIES: Provide direct sales support to the Senior Banker/Banker to originate new business and be jointly accountable for client revenues/profitability. Proactively assist Senior Banker/Banker with transactional support on new business origination activities. Perform client analysis and reporting on post origination activities and prepare client meeting documentation. Support on sales discipline requirements. Provide deal execution support, credit documentation, limit loading, coordination with sales/product on fee letters, and deal drawdown. Proactively manage portfolio, including client and product partner engagement to ensure limit utilization. Responsible for the overall Client Group Account Plan/Client Strategy. Attend and minute Account Planning/Strategy “deep dive sessions”. Work with product partners to maximize cross-sell and returns on risk weighted assets. Assist in managing global origination activity for TMT Client Relationships. In partnership with the Credit Analyst, identify clients that need to be classified as Early Alert with Credit and/or transferred to GSAM. Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight, and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Standard Chartered Bank policy.
REQTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Working with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) across all levels (C-suite included), geographies, and time zones; Core product knowledge across the offerings, including loans, transaction banking products, financial market products, and capital market products; Working on deals with regulated markets such as India, China, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zambia; Meeting KPI targets consistently, growing existing client relationships, and prospecting new client relationships; Conducting documentation negotiation for credit agreements, ISDAs, and guaranty formats; Credit risk evaluation and management, including handling of accounts under financial stressed scenarios and financial statements evaluation; and Driving RFI / RFP pitches and deal implementation for cash and trade corporate products.
SALARY: $200,000 - $250,000/year
HOURS: Full time; Mon – Fri (40 hours per week) EOE.
