Job Description: 

Key Responsibilities

Business

  • Taking the lead in resolving confirmation/settlement processing challenges
  • Bubble up bespoke services or documenting exception handlings
  • High accuracy in processing and nil backlogs
  • Coordinate and collaborate with business stakeholders  

 

Processes

  • End-to-end operation processing for Foreign Exchanged and Money Market products. 
  • Daily tasks including:
    • Confirmation generation, dispatch, matching, chasing, reporting and client servicing.
    • Affirming cashflow and settlement instruction, payment releasing and EOD controls.
  • Investigation on GL Suspense and Nostro accounts’ imbalances
  • Gather, describe, and determine root cause for basis troubleshooting 

Risk Management

  • Timely escalate and record any exceptional cases.
  • Ensure audit and risk control measures for BAU procedures and processes are adhered to.
  • Report any suspicious trades in accordance to the Anti-Money Laundering Policy
  • Perform due diligence or validation on high-risk settlement

 

Governance

  • Ensure processes are complying to the group standard.
  • Ensure fast turnaround time in responding to queries raised by parties within or outside the bank

Qualifications

•    Degree / Diploma or equivalent

•    Min 1-3 years of relevant experience

•    Basic Knowledge of FX Cash, Spot, TOM, Swap and futures.

•    Money Market: Overnight Depo/loan, Interest calculation process and Evergreen deposit

•    Derivatives product: CCS, IRS, CDS etc.

•    Good understanding about SWIFT MT 300,320,202COV, 202, 103,199,299, 191, 190, 940, 950, 900, 910, 292 and 192 formats, uses, construction of message and interpretation of data etc. 

•    Familiar with Nostro, correspondent banking & Cash recon will be an advantage

•    Sundry and Suspense understanding and Internal GL recon.

•    Knowledge of confirmation and settlement process of the above said products.     

•    English proficiency for oral and written communication
