Job Summary
Senior Manager – Cost WRB Operations will oversee and manage the overall cost for India WRB Operations. This role will involve monitoring of budgets, accruals and cost strategy under the COO.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Develop, implement, and maintain cost governance policies, procedures, and approval workflows.
• Ensure cost governance frameworks align with corporate strategy, budgeting, and risk management.
• Contribute to overall WRB Operations leadership requirements
• Engage key stakeholders and support functions for strategic transformation and governance responsibilities
Business
• Monitor adherence to approved budgets and spending limits.
• Identify cost variances, investigate causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with finance and business units to ensure cost discipline.
• Prepare regular cost governance reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Provide insights into cost trends, savings opportunities, and efficiency improvements
• Monitor and track margin trends and maintain at optimal levels at all times
• Futuristic estimation of costs and provide budget/forecast inputs
• Review and Approve spends in line with delegated authorities and as per Group policy and procedures.
• Partner with procurement, finance, and operations to ensure cost governance processes are embedded in day-to-day activities.
• Educate and train teams on cost governance policies and best practices
• Clear, timely, and actionable cost reporting for leadership.
People & Talent
• Ensuring talent on boarding and retention with succession plan in place for key roles and maintaining healthy bench-strength and leadership pipeline
• Ensuring framework for objective performance assessment of all team members
• Ensuring right skilling among team members for specific roles
• Drive talent development strategy for WRB Operations
• Enabling a conducive environment for people including effective engagement
Risk Management
• Conduct periodic cost reviews and audits to identify potential leakages or non-compliance.
• Ensuring adherence to all Group Policies and Procedures and adequate training to staff to always ensure compliance
• Proactive identification, preventive controls and mitigation of key process / operational risks
• Strong detective controls and continuous learning and fixing from risk incidents
• Ensuring timely reporting of risk items as per the Group Risk Management Framework
• Drive robust risk culture and initiatives across the unit resulting in minimal or zero risk incidents and zero regulatory breaches or overdue of agreed actions.
• Ensuring business continuity strategies are in place and tested at regular intervals as per standards agreed with country stake holders
Governance
• Ensure cost systems and process documents are kept up to date and reviewed periodically as required.
• Actively provide inputs for process improvements and drive automation and implementation of desired end-state processes.
• Drive cost-effectiveness in operations and ensure maintenance of best practices.
• Effectively implement the Operational Risk Framework.
• Establish OR standards/controls aligned to the Process Universe.

Qualifications
• Postgraduate in any stream.
