JOB SUMMARY

The SMCR MI Manager is responsible for:
•    Establishing, designing, and developing SMCR management information (MI) to support the delivery of the SMCR Operating Framework.
•    Set right data points, frameworks, and controls needed to produce meaningful and consistent MI.
•    The collation and reporting of management information to the SMCR Leadership team
•    Challenging the MI and ensure that it is accurate and up to date.
•    Supporting the SMR Project and Operations lead on ensuring compliance with the SMCR obligations.
•    Working on pan-bank SMCR related projects as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

•    Supporting the SMCR Team on the delivery of the SMCR Operating Framework.
•    Lead the end-to-end MI lifecycle from requirements gathering, data definition, sourcing, validation, analysis, through to presentation.
•    Establish data standards, definitions and documentation to ensure consistency and comparability across reports.

Business

•    Translate SMFs and other senior stakeholders change requests into clear, actionable and decision-useful MI.

Processes

•    Maintaining the SMCR related MI and producing accurate and timely reporting.
•    Support ad-hoc management and regulatory reporting requests as required.

People & Talent 

•    As a team member, support other team members and key stakeholders.

Risk Management
•    Contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust control environment that enables Standard Chartered to meet its SMCR obligations.

Governance 
•    Escalate any issues following the appropriate escalation channel within the SMR team and the bank if necessary.

•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Qualifications
Must-have qualifications/experience:
•    Educated to degree level or equivalent, legal education/background would be very beneficial.
•    Outstanding drafting skills and ability to explain complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesis complex data into clear insights to drive process efficiency.
•    Strong understanding of data governance, controls and reporting standards.
•    Outstanding attention to detail.
•    Ability to collaborate and work dynamically across a broad range of stakeholders.

Others:
•    Prior experience of working on the SMCR and/or dealing with regulators. 
•    Demonstrable experience of providing practical advice on external rules and regulations.
•    Highly detail orientated with the ability to process large quantities of information.
•    Successful record of building personal credibility and managing relationships with Senior stakeholders.
•    Knowledge of the Bank’s governance and risk management frameworks would be a plus
•    Excellent knowledge of MS Office, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
•    Prior experience of working on Compliance, Risk and Governance a plus.
