Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    Deliver Band 8B-level global cash and payment investigation activities, covering complex fraud-related, payment enquiry, return, recall and exception cases, with timely, accurate and risk-based resolution.
•    Operate as a senior individual contributor within Global Investigation, applying deep investigation judgement, payment knowledge and control discipline to manage higher-complexity cases, escalations and stakeholder queries.
•    Support protection of the Bank, clients and stakeholders by applying DOI/GDOI, regulatory expectations, operational risk standards and internal controls, while contributing to service quality, peer capability and continuous improvement across the Investigation function.

Key Responsibilities

Investigation Delivery and Case Management
•    Independently manage complex global investigation cases within agreed SLA, quality, risk and control expectations.
•    Analyse payment messages, transaction flows, CERS records, ScPay/eBBS/ATLAS information and supporting documents to determine appropriate investigation actions.
•    Handle fraud-related, payment enquiry, return, recall and exception investigation cases with strong documentation, rationale and audit trail.
•    Apply DOI/GDOI, regulatory requirements, operational risk controls, GPTS expectations and internal process standards consistently in case handling.
•    Act as a subject matter reference point for investigation queries, case handling approach and payment message interpretation within the team.
•    Escalate complex, urgent, high-risk, ageing or potentially client-impacting cases to the team manager and relevant stakeholders in a timely and well-evidenced manner.
•    Engage country, business, risk, compliance and operations stakeholders to support timely case resolution and clear investigation outcomes.
•    Identify recurring issues, process gaps, data quality concerns, control weaknesses or training needs and provide input for corrective actions.
•    Support service resilience through knowledge sharing, peer coaching, cross-training and contribution to continuous improvement across the Global Investigation function.

•    Non-people leader Band 8B role; contribute as a senior individual contributor by sharing technical knowledge, supporting peer coaching, strengthening team capability and acting as a reference point for complex investigation matters.
•    Maintain strong payment investigation, fraud investigation, message interpretation, risk and control knowledge expected of a Band 8B Senior Specialist.
•    Role-model the Bank’s valued behaviours, conduct standards, risk discipline and client-focused mindset in day-to-day activities.

Qualifications

Key Experiences    
•    Strong Band 8B-level experience in payment investigation, fraud investigation, cash operations or related operational risk/control activities, preferably handling complex, escalated or high-risk cases.
•    Experience interpreting payment messages, transaction flows, investigation tools and supporting transaction information to determine appropriate case actions.
•    Ability to apply DOI/GDOI, regulatory requirements, GPTS expectations, operational risk controls and audit trail requirements in daily investigation work.
•    Strong stakeholder communication, problem solving, attention to detail and ability to independently manage priorities across SLA, quality, risk and control expectations.


Certifications / Qualifications    
•    No mandatory certification required.
•    Relevant banking, risk, compliance or fraud-related qualification is an advantage.


Languages    
•    Strong written and spoken English.
•    Additional language capability is an advantage where required by country or client coverage.
