Job Description: 

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Specialist, Control Room Compliance based in Warsaw to support the delivery of key Control Room activities. This role is responsible for reviewing employee and business requests, providing compliance guidance, and maintaining effective controls designed to mitigate conflicts of interest, misuse of information, and related conduct risks.

  • Personal Account Dealing (PAD) reviews and approvals.
  • Outside Business Activities (OBA) and other employee conduct-related requests.
  • Transactional conflict clearance and information barrier assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • The role supports the consistent application of internal policies and procedures and helps ensure robust controls are in place across Control Room processes.
  • In addition to core conflict management activities, the role includes a range of administrative, monitoring, and control responsibilities, including:
    • Maintaining and updating insider lists in line with Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) requirements
    • Managing Watch List and Restricted List updates and related monitoring activities
    • Supporting and documenting wall crossing approval activity
    • Reviewing research reports and supporting related governance requirements
    • Conducting employee trading surveillance and escalating issues where appropriate
    • Handling PAD and OBA breaches, including investigation support and record maintenance
  • Additionally, the role provides guidance on and interprets relevant procedures, including Conflicts and Information Walls, Personal Account Dealing (PAD), and Outside Business Activities (OBA), to support effective risk management and policy compliance. Senior specialist also has a role contributing in process improvement, control effectiveness, and the broader Compliance function strategy by working closely with stakeholders across business, risk, and control teams.
  • Lastly, Senior specialist role will be involved in ongoing function digital transformation, including implementation of AI models in daily responsibilities.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in compliance, employee conflicts, or a related risk and control environment within financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to manage sensitive information are essential.
  • A good understanding of financial markets and an interest in stock exchange activity will be an advantage.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across teams is important for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams are also important for success in this role.
  • Availability to work in a hybrid model: minimum 2 days a week in the office is a must.
  • Availability to work in US shifts (2:00pm-10:00pm CET), including at least one shift per week, and on Polish public holiday, is a must.
