Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Leading the resolution of confirmation and settlement issues
  • Participating in capacity planning to determine daily production capacity required for fluctuating job allocations
  • Prioritizing and scheduling departmental workload to address volume fluctuations
  • Coordinating leave coverage to maintain sufficient resources for departmental continuity
  • Communicating work plan challenges and escalating potential bottlenecks to Line Managers

 

Business

  • Oversee one or multiple processes within Settlement operation,  manage escalations and errors, and potentially lead selected projects.
  • Maintain strong business relationships with the Front Office.
  • Lead the resolution of confirmation and settlement issues.
  • Continuously review DOI to ensure process procedures are up to date.

Processes

  • Facilitate treasury operations for FXMM asset classes promptly and efficiently.
  • Comprehend various product booking models and execute end-to-end operations for Foreign Exchange , Money Market and Derivative products.
    Daily responsibilities include:
    • Generating, dispatching, matching, following up on confirmations, reporting, and client servicing.
    • Affirming cash flow and settlement instructions, releasing payments, and performing end-of-day controls.
  • Investigate imbalances in GL Suspense and Nostro accounts.
  • Prepare manual confirmations or payments when necessary.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of internal and external customer inquiries.

Risk Management

  • Continuously review DOI to update process procedures
  • Identify errors and omissions from routine processes and promptly resolve GL Suspense and Nostro account discrepancies
  • Aim to reduce both internal and external processing errors
  • Escalate and document exceptional cases in a timely manner
  • Ensure adherence to audit and risk control measures for BAU procedures
  • Maintain compliance with group standards

The Ideal Candidate:

•    Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in banking operation
•    Exposure in Financial Market Operations
•    Good communication skills verbal and written
•    Strong problem-solving, data literacy, analytical and judgement skills
•    Proficiency in MS Office ie. Word, Excel. Power Point
