Job Summary

As a Standard Chartered Collection Specialist, you’ll be a part of the Wealth and Retail Banking team and will play an important role within our Collections and Recoveries Unit. You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, have the opportunity to help our clients meet their financial needs, and lead strategies to minimise our exposure to credit risk and save losses to the Bank.

Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) serves more than 11 million clients in many of the world’s fastest-growing markets. Our client continuum spans from Mass Retail to Affluent, including high-net worth clients served by our Private Bank. We leverage digital banking channels with a human touch to provide clients with differentiated products and services such as deposits, payments, financing, wealth management and personalised advice. We also support small business clients with their business banking needs. 
 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

1.    Provide meaningful BAU and ad hoc analysis reports to support senior management team to review and update collection strategy.
Business

1.    Ensure timely generate productivity/ performance reports to support operation of each team.
2.    2.Cooperate with each collection team and CACS RSS team to establish the collection system strategy and system daily administration.

Processes

1.    Cooperate with other team to establish and update the MIS and improve efficiency of whole team, ensure to provide the latest information to support the business team. 
2.    Cooperate with other team, participate in the strategy design optimization and maintenance of the collection system, and keep the business operation synchronized 
People and Talent 
1.    Oversee career development plans of key resources; To assure robust succession planning and adequate bench-strength for key positions
2.    To ensure capacity is managed in accordance with defined standards maintaining an active training and learning collections environment to ensure excellence in Collection Management.

Risk Management

1.    Ensure all collection MIS report are dependable based on an actual data and resonate logic. 
2.    Ensure the data security and information security.
Governance*
1.    Account for compliance with operational risk, against money laundering guidelines, reputational risk, Treating Customer Fairly policy, and local regulations on collection activities including but not limited to customer data privacy, physical contact, and use of third-party agency guidelines.
2.    To ensure maintain the highest standard of vendor governance.
3.     Responsible for Collections Department & contracted third party agency compliance to the Group Code of Conduct, Collectors Code of Conduct & Third-Party Agent Code of Conduct
