Job Summary

Scope of Role:

The job holder will be responsible for driving the growth of international banking business by acquiring and serving cross-border clients, delivering tailored customer solutions and ensuring seamless execution of the group strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and strategic understanding of International Banking as a group priority, fully recognizing its role in driving the WRB business’s competitiveness and long-term growth. 

Business
•    Design, develop and maintain a compelling value proposition for tiered segments (Priority, Priority Private) in the country that aligns with global customer segment strategy and customer value proposition
•    Develop business solutions to proactively acquire high-net-worth clients with cross-border banking needs 
•    Work closely with product and functional teams to deliver International Banking solutions and benefits for clients, including multi-currency account management, international remittances, offshore account opening, and cross-border fund arrangements.
•    Collaborate with marketing in the adaptation of branding and communications guidelines for external marketing, direct marketing, website and online marketing, in-branch collaterals and internal communications
•    Ensure adequate communication and effective training are delivered timely to all sales channels on our value proposition, tactical offers as well as specific campaigns mechanics.
•    Collaborate with International Branch Networks to deliver seamless cross-border banking services and ensure consistent client experiences across different markets.
•    Ensure Compliance in Cross-Border Operations Strictly adhere to AML, KYC, and FATCA/CRS regulations when handling international account openings and cross-border fund movements to ensure full compliance.

Processes
Reference the processes for which the Role Holder is responsible, as per the Operational Risk Framework definition of first / second line, for example, Responsible for executing and supervising the Budget process. 

Risk Management
•    Responsibilities relating to identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group, as well as an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them. For example -The ability to interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
•    All responsibilities under the Risk Management Framework – both execution and supervisory – should be referenced, for example, Act as the [Process] risk control owner under the Group’s Risk Management Framework (including relevant Operational Risk Framework ownership for [Liquidity] risk. 

Governance 
Responsibilities relating to the direction, planning, structure, frameworks (e.g. processes and policies) and oversight. For example, Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas; Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role. 

Regulatory & Business Conduct 
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Qualifications

Selection Criteria: 
•    University degree major in Business / Finance / Marketing 
•    Solid working experience in banking/financial services/consulting industry
•    Good business acumen and attention to details
•    Creative, detail-minded, self-motivated, and independent
•    Committed and hardworking; willing to work under pressure.
•    Highly analytical and data-driven
•    Organized team player with strong project management, good communication and interpersonal skills
•    Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English
