Strategy
• Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of my role. Effectively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters. Business
Maintain and Improve Structured Products business in China and ensure the continuing growth and stability of the business by:
• Provide timely pricing to sales on structured products both at the trade idea origination level and at execution time
• Facilitate smooth deal execution including deal detail check and help to centralize booking instruction when necessary
• Generating / promoting market watch and generic trade ideas, and testing / developing / rolling -out new products
• Helping sales translate specific client needs into tailor-made solutions
• Deliver training and education on products to internal and external audiences
Processes
Ensure the stability, long-term sustainability and reputation of the Bank in derivatives by:
• Preparing termsheet templates in conjunction with L+C guidance
• Identifying areas of concern on matters of appropriateness/suitability, and raising them to senior team members
• Helping identifying and discourage transactions with unmanageable market risk profiles
People & Talent
• Co-operate on global initiatives and share information, ideas with sales/structurers outside China.
Risk Management
• Adherence to laws and regulations, internal risk and compliance policies (including anti-money laundering, sanction, anti-bribery & corruption and relevant FCC risks) and the Group Code of Conduct.
Governance
• Understand, acknowledge and comply with the requirements on individual accountabilities and responsibilities of the job set out in applicable local laws and regulations as well as SCB internal policies
