Job Summary
Strategy
• To manage the operations of the Shared-Services Team, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality services to internal and external customers and meeting objectives set by the Group using available resources allocated while maintaining operational risk to an accepted level. Responsible to setting up and handling financial valuation, year-end financial statement, regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring, performance measurement and transfer agency service (if applicable) for Mutual /Unit trust, Trust Plan, corporate annuity, Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors (QFIl), Qualitied Domestic Institutional Investors (QDIl) and CIBM custody business.
Business
• Participate in new/enhanced fund service product as well as its operations workflow/system development.
• Participate in new regulatory reports implementation and seek ways of improving efficiency of reporting process.
• Ensure proper books of accounts and records are maintained, accurate financial valuations are released on time.
• Ensure the efficient ongoing administration of funds under administration and the compliance of provisions as defined in the funds constitutive documents to meet clients service level standard or regulatory requirement.
Processes
• Monitor the accuracy of reporting to clients / regulators.
• Negotiate with external auditors for the completion of annual account audits of clients' funds.
• Liaise with internal auditors or risk control to ensure compliance with Bank policy.
• Liaise with regulator, market participants and vendor on the regulatory and market requirement on fund accounting, and its implementation and compliance.
• Motivate, monitor, and coach teammate.
• Leading the Shared-Services Team and ensure bench strength or successor is built.
• Line up the team and work closely with securities services transactional sales, product, and client service team.
People & Talent
• Assist the manager and participate in new/enhanced fund service product as well as its operational workflow/system development.
• Assist the manager in setting foals, targets and objectives, implementing an annual plan for identified clients and delivering services to meet client expectations.
• Lead the QFII clients' on-site audit and verify all the audit reports and regulatory reporting.
• Familiar with all fund accounting system and regulatory reporting system.
• Work closely with Fund Services team member.
Risk Management
• Understand, acknowledge and comply with the requirements on individual accountabilities and responsibilities of the job set out in applicable local laws and regulations as well as SCB internal policies.
• Effectively ensure and intensify internal controls by keeping abreast with developments of applicable local laws and regulations on accountabilities.
• Perform job duties with diligence, contribute to efforts as an individual or as a team member so as to avoid any actual or potential legal sanctions, regulatory penalties, material financial loss, or adverse reputational impact on the Bank.
• Cooperate with any investigations or reviews on regulatory failure such as accountability review.
• Be responsible for failure to follow relevant rules and processes, failure to properly perform the responsibilities. and implement corrections.

• Effectively ensure BAU and projects being run smoothly and without critical issues.
