Job Summary
The Structured Solutions Development team (SSD) is a team within the TB Sales, which is responsible for bespoke trade finance solutions to meet our client needs. Consulting with client, industry thought leadership and specialist knowledge of solutions is the way the team members drive origination and then lead with structuring and negotiation of solutions. You are responsible for delivering the revenue budget for your assigned sector/region by supporting senior transactors. Strategic and tactical analytics, pitches, control measures and risk management of the portfolio are some of these key activities.
Key Responsibilities
Business
Solutions Development & Delivery
• As a core member of the team, contribute actively to execute the global SSD strategy.
• Create a uniform identity and experience for our clients in the industry and account for the regional nuances.
• Work with the relevant deal team leaders in developing client pitches/term sheets and originate new structured trade opportunities.
• Originate and execute onshore China Corporate and GS structured trade deals, as well as offshore China Corporate deals.
• Collaborate with overseas SSD team members and other stakeholders to land the deals originated from China.
• Interact with the relevant legal or compliance teams to negotiate documents in line with the client asks
• Work with the relevant ops/product teams in developing relevant deal DOIs
• Support SSD transactors in deal execution.
• Be responsible for the last mile activation of a transaction and ensure no misses by any implementation and delivery teams ( RSM, CRC, LDU, CTMU, Ops etc).
• Provide support to the relevant tech/PD teams to generate a BRD or ensure the right channel solution is provided or identify the key risks related to a platform and implement mitigating controls
• Work with agency teams to develop the most appropriate processes for delivery of the solution for a deal.
• Based on the broader understanding of industry and solution, identify opportunities or situations within an industry or client. Engage consultatively to create optionality and solutions for clients and convert them into successful deals which help solve for client need.
Portfolio Reporting and Control
• Support senior transactors and Industry/Regional leads in deal execution implementation and monitoring.
• Be responsible to generate a monthly income tracker for SSD deals across the Region.
• Set up and manage a monthly/quarterly portfolio review to ensure deals meet with all the required standards. In case of gaps, do identify issues and develop a plan to change the process or ensure such incidents are avoided in the future.
• To ensure an effective deal pipeline reporting mechanism is in place and consolidated globally.
Communication and Content management
• Having a very effective communication style – visual, written and audio – is very important.
• Contribute actively towards monthly and quarterly communications to highlight closed transactions, key achievements of the team and or individuals.
• Prepare customized deal and product specific pitches for client engagement and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate across SSD teams globally to maintain a repository of deals/solutions offered in various geographies and identify opportunities for replication in the region.
• Be the key point of contact for any award pitch documents / industry body presentation, etc for the Region.
Financial Management – Product P/L Management
• Support delivery of budget:
• Revenue (existing and new revenue streams) [FY 2025 $ M]
• No of deals executed / No of unique clients for which deals executed
• No of proactive client pitches
• Returns (i.e. product profitability) [ROE / RORWA] at a deal or client level.
Risk Management
• To be able to articulate to the client, risk and other relevant teams on how a proposed solutions meets client needs, enable it to be more efficient, enable it to grow and scale its business, mitigate its risks and how it helps in a wider investor participation for a financing where required.
• Has knowledge of legal aspects linked to an instrument, debt, security in the relevant jurisdictions; local regulations and initiatives of local industry bodies to stay ahead of the regulatory change agenda and/or how it affects the solutions.
• Takes the initiative regarding regulatory, reputational, and ethical matters by providing proactive advice to clients and sales teams
• Ensures adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations
• Ensure appropriate inputs are incorporated in credit memo / Term sheet / Pre-Screening review, etc
• Actively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters for the region and delivery mechanisms relevant for the industry globally, in a timely manner
Governance
• Demonstrate accountability for all deal related risks for solutions executed for by ensuring the right governance standards are applied and provides guidance even when there is ambiguity
• Identifies and mitigates deal level operational, credit, regulatory, legal, fraud and risks in the processes via a business Conduct lens.
• Ensures the relevant approvals (including compliance with relevant deal review guidelines) for a transaction or client engagement are sought and can be produced for an audit review at any point in time
• Takes the lead to ensure compliance, AML and FCC risk and applies appropriate risk mitigation processes
Regulatory & Business Conduct

Qualifications
Core Credit and Risk Management Certification completed or to be completed within 12 months of joining the team.
Skills and Experience
• Positive attitude, with great energy and a team player
• Have got experience of working in key network markets of SC with linkages to American clients or worked in Americas.
• Have worked on complex/bespoke transactions for at least 3 years with experience of working on complex solutions (including syndicated deals.
• Understands of working with third party platforms/fintechs, structures and risks involved
• Strong risk analysis skills
• Strong presentation/communication capability: Ability to create effective audio/visual pitches. Articulate in presenting and communicating value propositions and issues.
• Total years of trade experience for at least 6 years
