RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy

  • Collaborate with Affluent team (primarily Priority Private) branches/segment teams and CIB regions to acquire high net-worth clients through client events, campaigns, service offerings etc
  • Setup collaboration arrangement with CIB and SME Banking to acquire HNW clients for SCB China, leveraging the bank’s existing international banking proposition and services

Business

  • Refer clients to the bank’s international network where clients have international banking needs
  • Lead the development of the strategy and supporting initiatives to grow the high nett worth client base
  • Manage a team to execute the business plans across relevant segments to support the delivery of the strategy 
  • Identify opportunities to increase our footprint both internally (cross segment) based on external market developments.
  • Collaborate with local segment heads and other function heads in China to deliver the One Bank solution by leveraging existing referral programmes (where applicable)
  • Likewise, for existing clients of the bank’s international banking network, the team will also refer clients to SCB China affluent, SME Banking and CIB teams.

  • Work with regional stakeholders to govern and track new client referrals and their financial impacts

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Other Responsibilities

  • Understand, acknowledge and comply with the requirements on individual accountabilities and responsibilities of the job set out in applicable local laws and regulations as well as SCB internal policies
  • Effectively ensure and intensify internal controls by keeping abreast with developments of applicable local laws and regulations on accountabilities

Qualification

  • Degree and above
  • Financial/ Banking Industry experience will be advantages.
  • Sound Knowledge of sales processes, tools and techniques demonstrating ability to prepare and present formal presentations and recommendations on meeting customers’ needs
  • Strong local market network with ability to develop a network of target prospects 
  • Sound knowledge of financial markets and investment products necessary for analysing information about the competitive landscape
  • Good understanding of the local market regulatory environment with proven risk management capabilities 
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Good Understanding and Command of Mandarin and English.
