Job Summary


  • •    Assist ME sales team in achieving agreed sales volume and profit objectives by acquiring, growing and retaining profitable SME Banking customers within acceptable risk parameters.
    •    Be primarily responsible for client coverage and work closely as a team with the ME Relationship Manager in providing direct sales support on post origination activities like documentation, reporting, etc by engaging with client, CRC, legal, CFCR, etc.
    •    Active engagement with client and also with the product partners to ensure high level of utilization of regular limits.
    •    Work with the ME RM on a specified portfolio and jointly responsible for the revenue growth.
    •    Compliance and CDD follow up for account maintenance.
    •    Tracking and completion of monthly reports including but not limited to HC, performance, RM code management. 
    •    In line with the commitment to serve SME segment by supporting their high-quality development needs, SME department will continue to extend the coverage of financial services, uplift comprehensive financial service capabilities for SMEs, as well as provide one-bank financial solution to support SMEs’ whole life cycle growth (from start-up to cross-border expansion).

Key Responsibilities

  • •    Achieve individual financial and non-financial targets while contributing towards team’s overall deliverables through:
    -    Effectively generating new business – identify prospects and convert in line with the Bank’s appetite.
    -    Strategically formulating account plan – provide clients’ needs-based solutions, structure appropriate credit facility, and execute various banking transactions.
    -    Proactively building trusted client relationships – maintain a portfolio of active and growing customers.
    •    Build and expand existing client relationships through pro-active contact, account planning, wallet sizing and effective pipeline management.
    •    Identify and prioritize activities to maximize revenue contribution from allocated client portfolio.
    •    Consult and recommend strategies where account management or recovery is needed on problem accounts, assisting credit in identifying sources from minimizing loan losses.
    •    Work effectively across geographic borders with customers to deepen relationships with the Bank.
    •    Generate creative ideas on customer acquisition and products/ services.
    •    To provide one-stop service to SME banking upper segment clients with flexible financial solutions, multi-channel servicing and cross-border capabilities, including commercializing business opportunities of cash management solution, supply chain management, cross-border proposition and working capital financing.
    •    To collaborate with CCIB/Affluent to provide total solution to growing enterprise.
    •    Keep abreast of SME banking market in term of products and services across markets and among competitors, to support the SME Banking in driving key products and/or service.
    •     Assist CPMS product sales to provide relevant service (including. FX forward, Structured Deposit and other etc.) to SME banking upper segment clients based on their needs. 
    •    Responsible for identifying the business monitoring and testing and reporting findings, exceptions, and results from monitoring/testing activities.
    •    To monitor and ensure strict execution of KYC policy within the SME Banking.
    •    To constantly operate within the compliance’s guidelines set by group standard and/or local regulations.

    •    Be responsible for failure to follow relevant rules and processes, failure to properly perform the responsibilities, and implement corrections.
    •    Cooperate with any investigations or reviews on regulatory failure such as accountability review.
    •    Understand, acknowledge, and comply with the requirements as set by all applicable regulators.
    •    Ensure to perform job duties with diligence, contribute to efforts as an individual or as a team member so as to avoid any actual or potential legal sanctions, regulatory penalties, material financial loss, or adverse reputational impact on the Bank.
    •    Ensure to timely handling the various regulatory requirements under appropriate permission, e.g. report, survey, consulting paper, research paper, inspection, regulator queries regarding regulatory submission (if any), etc. 
    •    Properly perform the duties on management and ensure the effectiveness of internal control. 
    •    Be responsible for regulatory failure or risks arising from or in connection of the event over which the employee has the duties of management and/or leadership.
    •    Be responsible for significant losses due to failure of effectiveness of internal control.  

Qualifications

  • University degree in Finance or related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of banking experience preferred.
  • Experience in selling to corporate customers, specifically to small and medium enterprises (SME) preferred.
  • Knowledge of trade finance products preferred.
  • Good marketing, communication, and interpersonal skill preferred.
  • Willing to work under pressure.
  • Proactive, positive attitude, customer oriented, self-motivated & a strong champion of teamwork spirit
  • Good command in written English preferred.
