Job Summary

This position is responsible for driving the implementation of the partnership and alliance strategies in Greater Bay Area. This role is crucial for expanding our business reach, enhancing our market position, and creating value-added opportunities through strategic collaboration. 

 

Key ​​Responsibilities

 

Strategy

  • Awareness and understanding of the Group, China, HK and GBA’s business strategy and execution of strategy.

Business

  • Partnership Management, develop and streamline the end-to-end partnership management process which include onboarding/renewal/exit, ensuring all partners are integrated smoothly into our business ecosystem. 
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams, such as legal, finance and operations to ensure the internal/external requirement met. 
  • Establish and implement key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of partnership and proactively monitor the performance of existing partners, using data-driven insights to determine the value and viability of continued partnerships. 
  • Provide regular reports and actionable insights to senior management on the health and performance of partnership and alliance. Based on these insights, recommend strategic adjustments to partnership strategies, including termination, expansion, or modification of existing partnerships. 

Processes

  • Drive WRB teams to continuous improvement in operational efficiency and effectiveness across day-to-day business. 
  • Ensure effective management of operational risks across the business and compliance with applicable internal policies, external laws, and regulations.
  • Ensure execution of Business strategy in a safe and well controlled manner and on an end-to-end basis-incorporating infrastructure requirements and ensuring that they are fit-for-growth. 

People & Talent

  • Lead GBA WRB team through performance development, change management and effective communications. 
  • Develop talents using strength – based approach or career planning as well as personal growth. 
  • Demonstrate brand values in everyday life at work.
  • Fulfil supervisory responsibilities in line with supervisory principals. 

Risk Management

  • Ensure appropriate frameworks in place to guarantee that business in carried out within the group’s risk appetite and relevant risk are managed in conjunction with management, direct reports and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure cross border initiatives etc are fully compliant with regulatory requirements and country engagement rules. 
  • Ensure team compliance with the highest standards of regulatory conduct and compliance standards and practises as defined by internal and external requirements. 
  • Abide by the Group’s values and code of conduct and foster a robust culture to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employees.
  • Full understanding and full execution of all regulatory, business and risk requirements and expectations

Governance

  • Be alert of the regulatory framework in which the group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role remit.
  • Be responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’, capable to challenge fellow executives effectively, and willingness to work with any regulatory body in an open and cooperative manner.
  • Manage regulator relationships in relation to the business benefits.
  • Be responsible for appropriate escalation to any governance committees or to other stakeholders in senior management, risk or control functions as appropriate.

  • WRB Group, GBA, CN & HK CEOs, and their Mancos
  • HK WRB Head and CN WRB Head, and their WRB MTs
  • HK WRB & CN WRB Affluent, WM, Digital and other key departments. 
  • CN WRB GBA multiple sales team and service team. 
  • Legal, CFCC, Risk, Finance, HR, T&I, Operations. 

Other Responsibilities

  • The candidate may also be required to assume further responsibility for the middle office if other teammates are absent or leave, to ensure seamless operations during staff shortage. 

Qualifications

Selection Criteria: 

  • University / College degree, or equivalent / better. 
  • Good English speaking as well as in writing.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales roles in financial services.
  • Highly motivated and driven by number, strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate leadership/collaboration attributes.
  • Strong sense of risk and compliance in financial industry

Above key responsibilities and selection criteria are the major assessment to assess the staff if qualified during probation and competent after probation. Failing to satisfy any of the aforesaid requirements, or failing to pass the “CPBB Essentials”, the employee will be deemed not meeting the recruitment requirement for passing probation, and the Bank is entitled to terminate the employee’s employment contract immediately. For employee who has passed the probation, failing to pass the “CPBB Essentials” will be taken as assessment basis for job incompetency.
