Responsibilities*.

 Strategy*

  • Managing end to end GIL claim process including Principal, Legal cost and Debt collection Agency cost from Trade and Industry Department (TID) or HK Mortgage Corporation Limited (HKMC).

Business*

  • To ensure effective utilization of resources with objectives of minimizing credit losses, maximizing recovery in Retail banking portfolio.
  • Assist manager to ensure good control mechanisms are in place and to ensure satisfactory audit clearance and operational assurance.
  • To ensure / improve operations effectiveness and KPIs.
  • To identify and execute workflow re-engineering processes.
  • To formulate strategies and action plans

Processes*

  • Control and monitor end to end process of Industry / Government Claim process to make sure the successful claim received within the acceptable timeframe.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for process enhancement and improve the claim process turnaround time.
  • Prepare documentation to TID/HKMC to process the claim.
  • Draft response to reply to TID/HKMC’s further queries on the claim.
  • Follow up with TID/HKMC department on the claim status closely.
  • Submit legal cost/agency cost incurred for government instalment loan once legal action completed/principal claimed received.
  • Monitor and track all the claim cases to ensure letter response on time.
  • Assist in ad-hoc assignments.

  • Assist to strengthen team capacity and continue engagement with people.
  • Enhance communication within and among team across Retail Risk Organizations as well as other internal stakeholders and external.

Risk Management*

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • To ensure that the risks arising from litigation, environmental claims, regulatory censure, or potential reputational loss are minimized

Governance*

  • Ensure all collection policies and procedures comply with Group Policies and Standards. Assure proper and updated documentation of all in- country policies and procedures are maintained at all times.
  • To be well versed in relevant law & regulations to provide guidance in legal issues.
