Job Description: 

Job Summary

Strategy
•    Awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model appropriate to the role

Business
•    Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates 
•    Contribute to the overall growth in funds AUM across the bank through MI solutions across both PvB and retail segments

Processes
Fund Selection:
•    Meeting and assessing fund managers
•    Select high quality Mutual funds/ETFs for SCB clients
•    Monitor Mutual Funds/ETFs recommended for SCB clients

Communication, Sales and Marketing Support:
•    Managing the relationship with internal and external stakeholders 
•    Communicating effectively the rationale behind fund recommendations
•    Help manage and develop internally and externally approved marketing collaterals
•    Provide product training to both distribution and frontline staff
•    Participate in direct client pitches and media interviews when necessary
•    Collect and share views of asset manager partners with the Global Investment Council (GIC)

•    Identify key issues in fund performance and the fund selection process.

•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    5+ years of experience in investment management, with expertise in mutual funds and ETFs

•    Bachelor's or advanced degree in finance, business or related field 

•    Strong track record in fund selection, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring

•    Solid understanding of market dynamics, performance drivers, and regulatory frameworks

•    Ability to articulate clear investment views and engage effectively with stakeholders

•    Commercially driven with a collaborative and client-centric mindset

•    Demonstrates sound judgment, analytical rigor, and high standards of integrity and risk management

•    Thrives in a fast-paced environment and contributes to AUM growth initiatives
