Job Summary
• To systematically provide fixed income ideation, market and product information to clients, RMs, Investment Advisors and MCS’s (across all the client segments like the Private Bank, Commercial Bank and the Retail Bank - also referred to collectively as the “CPPB”),
• Engage and Interact closely with the customers, Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors and Portfolio Advisors to proactively identify Fixed income solutions that meet customer needs
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- To work towards meeting and exceeding the fixed income budget for the relevant year.
- The incumbent is expected to create synergies and develop relationships with the RM/IA/TSOs and Counterparties, to scale up the FI business.
- The incumbent is also responsible for product and trade ideation and the delivery of these ideas to the segment (across presentation, training, emails and client friendly materials).
- Efficient and timely execution of trades and RFQs.
- To incumbent is required to collaboarate and work seamlessly with other parts and departments of the bank.
- Observe and adhere to the SCB’s trading procedures, its governance and policy.
- Timely resolving any trade disputes and keeping the management & the head of desk informed of any client disputes.
- Ensure regulatory & internal compliance.
Business
• Engage and Interact closely with the customers, Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors and Portfolio Advisors to proactively identify Fixed income solutions to meet customer needs.
• End to end ownership of the cash bond and structured credit lines of business.
• Analyse client portfolios to generate relative value switch idea.
• Responsible for preparation and presentation of trade ideas to the Private Bank and the Retail Bank Business.
• Coordinate marketing effort for the New Issue announcements and updates, secondary market and relative value Ideas across the CPPB.
• Drive the Structured Credit Line of business End to End by working with the external counterparties, Internal Legal and Compliance in getting Documents approved, marketing / bookbuilding and trade closure.
• Build and manage lasting and trusted relationships with all Clients, RM’s, Investment Advisor’s, other colleagues and Professional Trading counterparties.
• Represent the Fixed income business on various client, industry and other forums.
• Continuously shares expertise/knowledge with the team to empower the FI team as a whole.
• Promotes & supports other initiatives for more traction to the business.
• Responsible for preparation and presentation of trade ideas to the Private Bank and the Retail Bank Business.

• Assist CMPS business partners in other geographical regions to provide seamless advise and execution for truly world class services across geographies and time zones.
• Conducting new RM inductions and FI Roadshows / Calls.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 plus years of strong credit product sales (Sell Side) or Wealth / Asset Management Fixed income (Buy Side) experience is required.
• Important pre-requisites for the role include an in-depth knowledge of the FI business.
• CACS holder and CMFAS qualifications are required for this role. Paper 1A or 1B, 5, 6, 6A, 8, 8A (or RES12B, RES5, CM-EIP, CM-SIP, M8, M8A) as well as CACS 1, CACS 2 and FMRP
• Good communication, negotiation, sales and presentation skills with the ability to influence outcomes
