JOB SUMMARY
• Provide efficient & timely execution for FI business across time zones with minimal operational errors.
• Manage all trade, settlement & corporate action related issues by working seamlessly with the mid office, the operations team and the custodians.
• Meticulously maintaining the trade blotters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
• Assist and work with Front Office to provide seamless execution, covering the London time zone
• Efficient and timely execution of trades and RFQ’s
• Provide a high standards of client trading experience and after sales service.
• Besides execution, the role would include:
• Providing fixed income ideation, market and product information to clients, RMs (across all the client segments like the Private Bank, Commercial Bank and the Retail Bank - also referred to collectively as the “Affluent Segment”), Investment Advisors and CSM’s.
• Engage and Interact closely with the customers, RMs, Investment Advisors and Portfolio Advisors to proactively identify Fixed income solutions that meet customer needs.
Business
• Provide efficient & timely execution for FI business across time zones with minimal operational errors
• Manage ALL trade, settlement & corporate action related issues by working seamlessly with the mid office, the operations team and the custodians
• Meticulously maintain the trade blotters
• Ownership of the execution of cash bond and structured credit lines of business
• Responsible for sending the New Issue announcements & updates, secondary market & relative value ideas
• Support the Structured Credit business by working with the external counterparties, Internal Legal and Compliance for getting Documents approved, marketing, bookbuilding and trade closure.
• Explores Products, People and Systems development to enhance the FI business.
• Strict adherence to the SCB’s Market Risk procedures and its policies. Ensure regulatory & internal compliance.
• Seek and obtain competitive pricing from FM and external counterparties.
Processes
• Ensure awareness of execution processes and deliver quality execution service. Ability to identify and suggest ways of enhancements to existing processes.
• Accountable to risk control owners and/or Group policy owners for the implementation of policies and control standards set by them, ensuring compliance and operating within risk tolerance and risk appetite and building a culture of good conduct.
People & Talent
• Ability to work as a team player, providing support to cross desk to ensure seamless daily process flow
Risk Management
To proactively manage risk for both bank and clients
Governance
• Observe and adhere to the SCB’s trading procedures, its governance and policy. Timely resolve any trade disputes and keep Management & the Head of Desk aware of any disputes. Ensure regulatory & internal compliance
• Ensure all trades are tracked and maintained in the trade blotters and other forms of MIS reporting in a timely and accurate manner

Our Ideal Candidate
• Bachelor Degree
• 3+ years of fixed income execution and trading experience is essential
• Private Banking /Wealth Management / Capital Market Sales experience or Industry knowledge is an added advantage.
• Good Presentation Skills is an added advantage
• Basic Microsoft office skills are a must
• Ability to provide guidance and inspiration to the clients, RMs, CMPS Colleagues and other partners
• Strong sense of self motivation and discipline in execution
• Problem solving attitude with an eye for detail
• Ability to perform well under stressful trading floor environment
• Good communication, negotiation, sales and presentation skills with the ability to influence outcomes
• Good ability to network with internal and external business stakeholders
• Being a good team player is essential for this role.
