JOB SUMMARY
Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) aims to become the leading Cross-Border Affluent Bank and Wealth Manager, through strengthening our Affluent continuum, unlock network value via International Banking, accelerate Private Banking growth, and future proof our business with strong focus on risk, talent, underpinned by scalable digital platform and operational capabilities. 

WRB business will invest to expand our wealth solutions (WS) and upgrade advisory capabilities, tailor our international propositions, enhance our frontline enablers to support our growth in relationship managers, and strengthen our support functions in line with our growth aspirations.  

This role will sit within the WRB Ops Planning and Performance Team, supporting Head, Planning & Performance, WRB Ops, in partnership with key business stakeholders, COO and various functional stakeholders.
The role is responsible for enablement, change delivery and transformation across the WRB COO (WRB COO) team. The focus should be on innovation, enablement, and enhancing experiences for clients whilst ensuring the Wealth Solutions COO is scaling in an efficient manner (fit for growth, FFG

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:

•    Key point of contact for Fit For Growth (FFG) of WRB COO, including working with initiative owners and Hive leads to ensure project deliveries are effectively implemented across geographies, financials and costs incurred, benefits are appropriately managed. Also ensure risks are identified and mitigation plans are in place.
•    Timely escalate any potential project issues to team leader and actively follow up resolve the issues in an effective manner.
•    Financials and Business Management for WRB COO Ops globally including budgeting, financial analysis, risk and issues mitigation, and completion of Corporate plan and Business reinstatement exercises covering step ups / and budget transfers and Headcount management
•    Responsible for MIS/data dashboard delivery based on the agreed roadmap 
•    Responsible for bespoke business initiatives, such as FFG related initiatives, AI related projects, People Development program etc 
•    Prepare reports, presentations and review material to support discussions and decision making at respective forums such as FFG, Finance etc. 

Programme Governance: 
•    Develop and sustain the programme governance framework, including the reporting cadence, meeting structures, and associated artifacts. 
•    Ensure compliance with the Change Delivery Standards (CDS) and promote awareness of these standards throughout the Programme. 
•    Conduct regular reviews to evaluate the Programme's adherence to established standards. 
•    Promote consistency across programme documentation, RAID logs, change controls, and other relevant records. 
•    Ensure the accurate and consistent use of programme data within the Bank's systems (Clarity, ADO). 
•    Provide support to teams within the Programme and its underlying initiatives. 
•    Assist the Programme Steering Committee by preparing high-quality materials such as Terms of Reference, Progress Reports, call minutes, and other necessary documents. 
 
Planning & Execution Support: 
•    Support the Programme Manager in developing a comprehensive Programme plan, ensuring alignment with the approved business case. 
•    Collaborate with the Programme Manager to ensure that initiative plans are synchronized and integrated with the overall Programme delivery plan. 
•    Support the Programme Manager in maintaining the Programme plan, including but not limited to the tracking of key milestones and timelines. 

Risk & Issue Management: 
•    Facilitate the identification and assessment of risks at the Programme level and support the development of comprehensive risk mitigation plans. 
•    Collaborate with Programme Manager to ensure that risks and issues are managed effectively and updated in Clarity. 
 
Resource Management: 
•    Consolidate and monitor the comprehensive resource management view of the Programme, identifying any gaps relative to forecasted requirements. 
•    Input information related to actual and forecasted resource data into Clarity. 
•    Work in collaboration with the Programme Manager to determine the staffing needs/changes for the Programme. 

Business

•    Support Initiative Leader in tracking consistent delivery metrics across Domain/Hive/Squad, aligned with internal and external benchmarks
•    Ensure appropriate and insightful data and analytics that can drive business decisions.
•    Maintain strong stakeholder engagement with Business, T&O, Risk & Compliance and Group Internal Audit to ensure alignment across stakeholder groups.
•    Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of Wealth Solutions and drives continuous improvements of the teams’ ways of working.

Processes

•    Support continued embedment of discipline in backlog management under FFG along with bespoke initiatives ( if applicable),drive robust prioritisations discussion keeping in mind intended key outcomes and capacity constraint (if any)

Our Ideal Candidat

  • 7+ years of experience in banking or consulting industries. 
  • Solid knowledge of wealth products or capital markets products (Bonds/Equity/FX/Funds etc) and operational process flow.
  • The successful candidate will have strong business commercial sense and results driven purpose with a practical orientation to developing and maintaining an innovative mindset, and have a style that fosters teamwork and collaboration with all types of stakeholders and partners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal key stakeholders .
  • Solid experience in Change Management; ability to adapt and act quickly to drive change by advocating innovative solutions .
  • Self-motivated team player, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate and resolve complex operational issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word .

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related filed; Engineering/Data/AI/Maths related degree also preferred.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CA/ACA/CIMA/CFA/PMP Preferred).
  • Proven track record in delivering large scale and complex changes, and embedding best practice.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global and complex organization.
  • Strong track record of large, complex business-technology delivery project.
  • Understand core business processes and associated technical solution.
