Job Summary

Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) aims to become the leading Cross-Border Affluent Bank and Wealth Manager, through strengthening our Affluent continuum, unlock network value via International Banking, accelerate Private Banking growth, and future proof our business with strong focus on risk, talent, underpinned by scalable digital platform and operational capabilities. 

WRB business will invest to expand our wealth solutions and upgrade advisory capabilities, tailor our international propositions, enhance our frontline enablers to support our growth in relationship managers, and strengthen our support functions in line with our growth aspirations.  

This role will sit within the WRB Digital Change Delivery and Enablement team, supporting Global Head of Digital, in partnership with key WRB business stakeholders, COO and CIO to lead an integrated approach that enables and continuously optimise delivery of WRB investment agenda, ensuring that we maximise return on investment with clear traceability to business outcomes, drive transparency on investment allocation and associated capacity, and execution certainty. This will require improving our business agility of WRB Digital delivery team to be quick to adapt in volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous (VUCA) environment, and respond rapidly and flexibly to client needs.

Strategy

  • Be the advocate and facilitate driving traceability in business to delivery outcomes through linking key business strategic priorities to investment roadmap, cascading from business outcomes at WRB Management Team level, to Domain, Hive and Squad level delivery outcome
  • Be the challenger on delivery roadmaps to be client-centric and risk aware, reflective of our balanced scorecard that ultimately increases shareholder valu
  • Support the ecosystem and data-led approach to optimise shape of investment that balances between supporting growth, regulatory compliance, risk remediation (in line with our risk appetite), and operational efficiency

Business
•    Support the establishment and ongoing refinement of ‘single source of truth’ system for Outcome, Demand/Backlog and Supply (Capacity) in the Change Delivery ecosystem
•    Support Delivery teams’ leadership to track consistent delivery metrics across Domain/Hive/Squad, aligned with internal and external benchmarks
•    Support, define and refine data-driven performance management monitoring and cadence leveraging single source of truth system for Change Delivery
•    Drive adoption of continuous improvement and agile best practices, mindsets and capabilities across Digital Wealth and Retail team, and group/country stakeholders
•    Champion leadership and cultural behaviour of what good looks like in Change Delivery

Processes
•    Support the evolution from budget-led to capacity-led planning process, drive robust prioritisation discussion keeping in mind intended key outcomes and capacity constraint (if any)
•    Support continued embedment of discipline in backlog management best practice with clear entry/exit criteria across backlog lifecycle
•    Support data-led decision making process through leveraging ‘single source of truth’ for relevant decision forums – QPR, Refinement Forums, Steering Committees 
•    Partner closely with WRB Digital Change Delivery team in embedding best practices across the portfolio 

People & Talent
•    Demonstrate growth mindset, building a culture of client centricity, agility, and accountability through standardised metrics and measurement, ensuring everyone are drivers and owners of client outcomes
•    Embody the role of a constructive challenger, leveraging data/facts in facilitating the right discussion

Risk Management
•    Identify and escalate weaknesses across the end-to-end process risk and control environment and monitor rectification as required.
•    Support implementation of appropriate control systems and operational procedures to support investment sales and securities transactions and the effective administration of customer accounts. 
•    Support adequate and appropriate systems and controls are in compliance with Group and Business policies, procedures, standards and codes, including those governing all Risk types, Compliance, Technology and Operations, Finance and Reputation. 

Governance

  • Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Bank operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role. 
  • Responsible for delivering effective governance as the first line of defence and collaborate closely with second and third line of defence to ensure well controlled ecosystem, meeting the requisite governance standards established within the Bank.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred)
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CSPO/CSM/Agile Leadership/PMP) 
  • 7 years of experience in wealth management, investment products, and propositions
  • Proven track record in delivering large scale and complex changes, and embedding best practic
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global and complex organization
  • Strong track record of large, complex business-technology delivery project
  • Understand core business processes and associated technical solution
  • Proven ability to provide guidance and execute in an agile way through teams across geographic locations
