Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    The role of Assistant Director, Business Risk Management Private Banking WRB SG, is responsible for identifying, assessing and managing the end-to-end process risks for assigned processes within Private Banking, Singapore. He/She is also responsible for overseeing the proper execution of the processes in line with standards set out by the Global Processes and Risk Framework Owners and Group-wide / Local Regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Identification and management of end-to-end processes defined by the Private Banking Process Universe and associated risks for the activities carried out by the business. Collaborating with Country Process Owners in risk management, providing support on risk assessments, proactive thematic reviews and audits management. 
Business
• Continuously evaluate and identify operational risk implications on business strategies, initiatives, changes and provide guidance on operational risk impact assessments and remedial actions. 
Processes
• Ensure adherence to Business Risk Management Objectives and Key Operational Risk KPIs of timely escalation and reporting of issues, and timely execution and completion of risk assessments with no overdue. Taking ownership of risk incident management with the Process Owners and co-ordinating with Country / Group Stakeholders.  
People & Talent
• Close collaboration within the Business Risk Management team, Front Office, Process Owners and cross functional teams such as Operations and Technology. Risk Framework Owners at 2LOD are also key stakeholders for engagements.  
Risk Management
• Continuously evaluate and identify business risks for new products/business, third party engagements and other relevant processes. Drive implementation of appropriate controls to mitigate all risk types for Private Banking, in conjunction with regulatory, thematic and evolving risks considerations such as data management risk, third party risks, fraud risk, financial crime risks, and change management risk.  
Governance
• Responsible for raising risk awareness on business controls, governance and supervision responsibilities amongst relevant staff in the country and ensure an appropriate risk culture in the team he/she supports.

• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Banking, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
•   8+years of experience in business or operational risk management, preferably with strong experience in Private Banking.
•    Strong understanding of data protection, third party risk regulations and standards.
•    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
•    Experience in cross functional risk issues identification, assessment and management.
•    Strong risk reporting and risk paper writing skills.
•    Strong analytical skills, detailed focus with ability to multi-task, and keeping to timelines.
•    Strong time management and prioritisation ability
•    Possess problem solving skills, with good judgement and good negotiation skills to deal with multiple stakeholders.
•    Relevant experience with process design/project management would be an added advantage.
•    Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, take lead in risk management.
