JOB SUMMARY
Background
The Brand Management and Marketing Team at Standard Chartered is responsible for the development and management of the company’s brand globally touching almost 83,000 employees across 52 markets. The team also leads the activation of the brand through marketing activities in collaboration with the regions, markets and businesses.
Overview
The Manager/ Associate Brand Management is an integral part of the core brand team and acts as the custodian of the Standard Chartered corporate brand.
We are looking for someone with brand management or marketing experience gained in an international, multicultural environment. A problem solver and a natural collaborator who takes pride in and is excited about enabling brand excellence across the organisation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
• Support Associate Director Brand Management with the development and implementation of an active brand management approach, driving brand recognition and value of the Standard Chartered brand through the enablement of consistent and premium brand expression.
Business
Brand Management (80%)
• Act as the custodian of the Standard Chartered Masterbrand through the ownership of brand guidelines, templates and subject matter expertise on the brand expression.
• Strategic advisory to colleagues and agencies to enable quality and consistent brand expression –covering visual design, verbal brand voice, sonic and brand experience.
• Timely review and approval of brand identity applications.
• Support the brand team in key decision-making forums for brand experience such as corporate office and branch design forums, digital and social, internal communications and employer brand.
• Support Associate Director Brand Management in leading the Brand Centre of Excellence, partnering with local CABM teams to enable quality brand expression across markets.
Brand Governance (10%)
• Support Head, Brand Management in management of brand standards, in compliance with risk management requirements.
Admin (10%)
• Assist with administrative tasks such as invoice processing and maintaining the budget tracker.

• Assist the brand team with capability upskilling in CABM related to brand.

• Proactively manage risk by ensuring compliance with brand management standards

• Assist with keeping Brand Management Standards up to date and support on training

Our Ideal Candidate
• 3 + years experience in brand management across a complex and global business. Background in banking or brand-focused organisations / agencies, working with multi-disciplinary teams would be advantageous.
• Strong foundation in brand management strategies and practices.
• Interest in design and keen eye for aesthetics and brand consistency.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders of different seniority and strong cultural adaptability.
• A natural and agile problem solver who takes pride in helping the wider team to “get it right and make it better”.
• Ability to effectively prioritise multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment, unfazed by ambiguity attention to detail and thrives on structure and process.Should have strong project management basics.
• Creative and ability to think ‘outside the box’, agile and willing to take up new challenges.
• Open minded and curious with a passion of emerging trends and technologies shaping the future of brand building.
• Comfortable working with data and able to handle basic analysis and interpretation.
